For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

zippitippitoes · 08/06/2008 09:06

what are you apcking for franny

i have had a ncie weekend went for a walk yesterday in the coswolds with bf which was lovely tho my knee decided to play up afeter about five miles which was very making

i did something sill with it on the beating the bolunds common walk in wales at the bank holiday climbing over a ate in the same way as the person i was talking to and my leg didnt like it

very silly as i can normally climb over gates perfectly i just decided her way looke d interesting

hadn't thought about it since and then i ended up limping yesterday..it is the same leg as my ankle which probably doent help

but it was alovely day and watched the footie sadly ronaldo didnt score expecially sad as we had a free 50 quid bet on him

i also asked bf if he was taking his girlfriend to this ball in two weeks and he said nyes so that was quit epleasing

i managed to slyly ask this during ocnversation about who was sitting on the table with us and he said x proabalyu well certainly with his gf x etc so i took the opportunity to check my status

we havent managed to book our holiday yet thoo as he has whizzed off this am to go climbing inwales

i am thinking of going to visit some open gardens in a nearby village

i have also rather scarily texted someone who ahd stuck notes through doors yesterday ;oooking to rent a room for thre months as i ahave been considering theidea i thoiught this loooks kike fate

my house however is a tip

FrannyandZooey · 08/06/2008 09:10

oh zip that is all rather exciting
sorry about knee - nasty uncomfortable thing to injure
do you usually have weak knees as I have a slightly dodgy one I have improved no end with exercises, say if you think they could help

I am packing a bag because they tell me I am having a baby any day now
don't worry I don't believe a word of it
I just humour them

zippitippitoes · 08/06/2008 09:31

but i thpought baby was going to be born at home?

where is baby going to be born?

zippitippitoes · 08/06/2008 09:33

and possibly knee might need exercises

i was more than slightly shocked at it flaring up

and annoyed

it hasnt been a problem before

but as my ankle has taken more than 6 months to get better it might be age

i am vaguely planning to cycle later tho bf has pointed out that my knee might have other ideas

i am climbing tomorrow eve too as i start my learn to cloib course

stuffedaubergine · 08/06/2008 09:41

zippi excellent ball news, this is another opportunity for the black tie and party get up for you ? please let us in on clothing options, i am full of bad advice for occasions like this

I'm sorry about your knee and ankle but lol at aspirational gate climbing, did you try a fosbury flop

fran i used to go and report on ice hockey matches up there, they were never softies, but the love of a good woman and all that

would you need to pack a bag even if birthing at home, for the just in case scenario

they have gone, bouncing with excitement and much bustling up and down the coach to find correct seating arrangement with league table of friends

am now ordering 10,000 spongebob squarepants items off Amazon

stuffedaubergine · 08/06/2008 09:43

look such a copycat at your style zippi
will get back to normal now

fullmoonfiend · 08/06/2008 09:49

morning all! Lovelt party yesterday atfriends. I had lots of little gem and tomatoes and mizuna and peppers and pasta salad and potato salad and some grilled sardine

zippitippitoes · 08/06/2008 10:09

i have my dress and shoes

i had a thread in style asking about accessories

the dress is from monsoon..it is rather nice black strappy below knee silk floppy thing and strappy high heels which i have indicated will not be able to yomp to the event in at 500 miles an hour

i have been somewhat taken aback fashion offered the possibility of a completely unnecessary taxi in view of the fact that it is not far lol

Guadalupe · 08/06/2008 10:19

Despite consuming vast amounts of potions and gargles yesterday for feeling a little on the rough side, I have woken up this morning with a full on stinking cold. God it's annoying. At least it's sunny.

Franny - are you having the baby at home, I can't remember? I think you told me the other day as well.

A whole mango, to DD's annoyance, but you know, she has croissants.

Do you think, as I am fairly likely to eat sme more of it at some point today, that it would be ok to eat strawberry cream sponge for breakfast. May as well get it out of the eh? I should be having clear broth I expect but it looks quite tempting.

fullmoonfiend · 08/06/2008 10:21

feed a cold love, get that strawberry sponge down your craw...tis good for what ails thee

(Grated fresh ginger in your lemon and honey is also good)

Guadalupe · 08/06/2008 10:30

yes, I thought someone would say eat, have cut a slice in preparation! Glad your party was good, fmv.

Zippi - sorry about your leg. I hate that feeling when yoou twist badly and then the muscle pulls, it makes me cross. I always do it to my neck and then it hurts for days. Do you think you should cycle?

zippitippitoes · 08/06/2008 10:32

im not sure i should..of course i want to cycle today having not cycled outside for about 7 years lol

tho i have in the gym

i just realised my earlier post was rather confusing

i knew i was going to the ball already

what i wanted to know was whther i was his girlfriend lol

stuffedaubergine · 08/06/2008 11:22

nice to tick that box
I've looked for your thread in style but all the misspelled titles were by Cod and I couldn't find not nothin about a ball, can you do a link so that I can have a nose pls
cycling's a nice feeling but don't like it in the gym, find it a bit dull in the gym

sorry about the cold loopy but happy about the cake
about about to finish a kitkat chunky

stuffedaubergine · 08/06/2008 11:23

stutter

TooTicky · 08/06/2008 11:32

I didn't sleep too badly but woke up several times with my jaw.
Dd2 bfing rather a lot and now she has a cold.

Zippi, sorry about your knee. I really want to know more about this dangerous gate-climbing style.

Stuffit - hope dd has fun.

Guadalupe - we can snuffle together.

Franny - I always find packing a hospital bag perturbing. I so much didn't want to stay in that I didn't pack what I would need, determined not to need it
Oh, I was wondering in a casual kind of way when you were next making playdough.....

Fmf - I really admire you. You are so good at doing things and giving your boys a fun time.

zippitippitoes · 08/06/2008 11:40

this was the thread stuffit

here

not sure what the gate climbing style was

realised it was wrong as soon as i did it

we were only climbing gates by the way becaus ethis was a 3 yearly event with the protreeve and the flag bearers and the special medieval constables to follow the boundary of the township land so wasnt following footpaths but streams and marshes and stuff

zippitippitoes · 08/06/2008 11:41

250 people did it

i even went to the pub at the end which i thought was very barve

a flag bearer asked me who i was

i was clearly the only non o9dentifiable person in the 250 that went on it

zippitippitoes · 08/06/2008 11:42

dd2 boyfriend has been offered a placement as apprentice garge mechanic and a college p[lace so fingers crossed he pereseveres whioch would be excellent

stuffedaubergine · 08/06/2008 11:54

i love your dress and I would wear red shoes

i haven't read whole thread but you should wear mad colours like red shoes, orange shawl, blue varnish on toes

you'll look wonderful

this is the end of my terrible advice

that garage thing sounds good and progress

MarsLady · 08/06/2008 11:59
Smile
fullmoonfiend · 08/06/2008 12:28

lol TooT - I don't post when it's been a day of boys sitting in their PJs playing Ninentdo all day...

FrannyandZooey · 08/06/2008 12:37

haven't read properly (am just sticking head in to check on veggers) but I don't know where I am having the baby, have not made any plans, don't have very strong feelings either way, and yes you still pack a bag even if planning a home birth (well I do) as last thing I want if you have to transfer to be rushing round going where are the nappies
but maybe other people don't? I don't know
