For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

< of Franny for constant stream of MNer visits>

And you begrudge me in my lonely exile us a modest W country meet-up. Pah!

AnonymousStranger · 02/06/2008 22:36

at all your visitors, Franny

SauerKraut · 02/06/2008 22:41

lolol at fruity bitches! Needed a good snigger. Just as I decide to crawl out of the pit we have a family crisis, so for a short time I'm in the same time zone. My wonderful Granny collapsed with a massive blood clot on the lung, so have flown over to be with her. She has had a tough few days but has perked up today so there is hope.
No fruit or veg in any guise whatsoever, but first curried chips in yonks. Yum. And proper crisps. Oh my goodness.
Will have to do some catching up with various threads.

FrannyandZooey · 02/06/2008 22:45

oh I begrudge anyone anything I would like and can't have
ignore me - TooT you are very sweet (almost a joke there but can't quite get there) but you must do your meet up wherever and whenever you like my dear
I bet it will be lovely
just all come and see me soon
ish

SK sorry to hear that news and very much hope she continues to perk
xx

And Bero, how far from Bideford can you travel? Would love to meet you while you are over

AnonymousStranger · 02/06/2008 22:55

I was tempted to do at the chips and crisps too but it does seem inappropriate. Sorry about your Granny, SK. Hope she continues to make a speedy recovery.

berolina · 02/06/2008 22:59

Looks like we will have a hire car, TooT, so are able to travel do you want to have a think about days and email me? petrovafossil at gmx dot de

TooTicky · 02/06/2008 23:02

I will do Bero, but tomorrow - I have to give ds2 a sip of water just before 5 and we have to leave the house at 6.45.
WHY am I still up?

IdrisTheDragon · 02/06/2008 23:09

Go to bed TooT

berolina · 02/06/2008 23:10

Yes, off to bed with you

Idris, I am still very and touched that you want to meet me.

berolina · 02/06/2008 23:11

(Same with you, TooT, of course )

IdrisTheDragon · 02/06/2008 23:12

Glad you saw that - probably unlikely we will but I think it would be nice

AnonymousStranger · 02/06/2008 23:15

Why are you all up so late?

TooTicky · 02/06/2008 23:17
berolina · 02/06/2008 23:18

I have inadvisedly taken to staying up - just needing that time to do not much that I get when ds2 finally falls asleep around 10.30 or 11 - and it does me good to be alone-ish in the quiet and the dark, but I really need to be off to bed

IdrisTheDragon · 02/06/2008 23:18

I am up late because I have been having to get up early for th epast few days and don't feel so tired this evening and am being Daring.

Bero is up later - it must be past midnight for her

berolina · 02/06/2008 23:21

It is indeed, and I must sleep. It is too hot really, but I know I will drift off when I lie down. Night all.

womblingalong · 02/06/2008 23:24

Just a very quick pop in before I crash out - hope all is well with you all. SK sorry to hear about your Granny, hoe she recovers swiftly. Have mailed you TooT. Does anyone know where OB is?

Am most of all you veg growers, I have neither the knack of gardening or the energy at the moment, but love the results.

Franny, glad you found your endorphins.

Anyway, night all my fruity friends.

AnonymousStranger · 03/06/2008 03:27

Good question, where is OB?

My dad arrives tomorrow. I have done nothing to prepare and am rather anxious about it. There is so much I needed to have done but haven't and now I can't face it.

TooTicky · 03/06/2008 06:21

Yes I was wondering about OB.

Also, Possum hasn't popped in for aaaaaaaaages

TooTicky · 03/06/2008 06:24

Glad your dad is coming UR/AS. Hope he is supportive.

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2008 07:52

was wondering if "morning vegetable cunts" would be as funny as "morning fruity bitches" but decided not

apple, banana, melon, raisins, grapes

TooT do your meet up! That's an ORDER

MrsC is coming It's raining

MrsCarrot · 03/06/2008 07:56

lol, not quite as funny no!

I think that needs to be a title, i's so funny.

No food yet, am trying to pack up fifty thousand things that need to go to the post office. I am leaving dh lots of jobs today as well as the baby.

Never mind the rain, Franny, it may have stopped later anyway.

Ds1 is mighty annoyed that dd is not going to school
