For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

OB that's a huge trip! we're not down in Kerala but might doing a trip that direction we should keep on top of that as it could work, also Rajasthan is an option too wow what a holiday that will be, covering so many miles, you lucky thing. It's lovely down in Kerala are you going on a boat?
be careful of the swimming at Kovalam if you head to the south coast (pulled out by lifesavers, it's a shitty rip current)

ok I am going to set up a stuffit mail account wombling
i hope some of this works out, it would be extremely marvellous

my ds has rotten self-esteem and poor organisation and is always getting detentions and being told off but the whole class had to put this play together and he was SSSOOO nervous and I was too, because you know when these things go wrong it LASTS for ever in their mind

he did this solo dance at the beginning and people cheered and whooped, i swear i could have wept with pride

I'm so sorry not to have read in, feel like a poor internet chum

TooTshooT · 06/06/2008 11:40

TooTshooT · 06/06/2008 11:48

TooTshooT · 06/06/2008 11:48

stuffedaubergine · 06/06/2008 11:51

lol think I'm a 2p asda one

he's 12 Toot -- they're ok, I blame myself for a lot of it from when he was little.. my mil took over from birth and I didn't manage very well or bond.. I just didn't get it.. it's a constant struggle to boost him now

TooTshooT · 06/06/2008 11:53

Boys are quite tricky, aren't they?

stuffedaubergine · 06/06/2008 11:53

blimey -- impressively arcane email address
will do so

OsmosisBanana · 06/06/2008 11:53

TooT - Cotham Grammar eh? That is where we shall prob try and get SD into. She is in Colston's primary school round the corner. Not Colston Girls School i hasten to point out. Mega $$.

Stuffit - we are going to get a house boat thingy in Kerala and investigate food. DH feels the need to see mountains so will have to fit that in too.

Have friends with houses in Goa so may just end up going there and doing nuffink.

TooTshooT · 06/06/2008 11:57

Cotham's quite eclectic, but my (younger) friend did get bullied there. Mind you, it can happen anywhere. They adopted a "no blame" approach to bullying and Esther Rantzen came.
Cotham's quite a good bet really.
I find the whole secondary school thing rather scary.

TooTshooT · 06/06/2008 11:57

QEH fascinates me. Do the boarders still walk around in full uniform?
