For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Fmf, I used to wish dp didn't snore, then he started doing this thing where he stops breathing for ages and ages and you can't sleep through that either. Especially when followed with super-giant snore.

stuffedaubergine · 06/06/2008 10:09

gooseberryfoolmoonfiend · 06/06/2008 10:21

TooT - I do at festies or by the river etc but I try to avoid too much tye dye these days...

Er, why??

FrannyandZucchini · 06/06/2008 11:02

I want to hear more about the dancing and the ishoos
my ds is off for the day at nature reserve again
we had some problems where twice running on days out with people he hurt himself, got majorly upset and we had to be called to collect him
bit worrying / embarrassing as kind friends put to quite a lot of trouble (and injuries not exactly major eg his foot got trodden on )
have made plans with ds for what to do if it happens again
no 1 on his list of suggestions
eat chocolate
no 2
hide under a table
no 3
use my medical emergency kit to fix myself

MEET UP

Avi - I am totally happy to come and get you from the airport.

Or rather, DH will be dispatched as then I won't have to clean my shit pit of a car!

Uh..

Fun places in Bristol...

If it's a nice day St Werburghs farm is always a winner. There is a small city farm with goats, sheep, piglets, assorted fowl etc etc, a nice cafe, an adventure playground AND a pub right next to the adventure playground so you can peer over the fence and shout things like 'get down tarquin'.

Plus down the road is a really big organic supermarket which wins prizes with nice cafe too. There is also a park with little river (not that you'd want to go in it) and another playground with many food type places nearby. And pubs. St Werbs is a bit of a gem actually. Good transport links too.

Then, the bus goes from Temple Meads back to the airport for £7 every half hour assuming DH incapable of driving. Hopefully not the case.

OsmosisBanana · 06/06/2008 11:08

LETS DO IT"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OsmosisBanana · 06/06/2008 11:10

Stiffit - my friend and I (and DH too I suppose sigh) are going to Kerala and Rajasthan next year. Any good to you?

Soz - stuffit not stiffit

OsmosisBanana · 06/06/2008 11:10

Talks to self.

Excellent conversation skills OB.

Why thank you OB, you seem on good form yourself.

Coffee OB?

Why not.

womblingalong · 06/06/2008 11:12

Good for little stuffit, he sounds wonderful. Yes we most prob will be in delhi for a while. It is early days of planning yet though. If we can get on email we can chat about it off board if you like?

Sorry I disappeared, my children wanted a bit of attention . Now off to bake biscuit with DD, while DS is asleep.

TooTshooT · 06/06/2008 11:25

Is that the Better Food Company OB? Are they still there?

I had vaguely considered Windmill Hill actually, even thought about hiring the Rumpus room - don't know what it costs though.
