For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

no way. You can't have an accent. It doesn't fit in my surround sound cinematic version of the 10/10ers. Do you have an essex accent? I have a bit of one courtesy of DH. That thrown in with RP and Brizzle is quite charming I'm told. By myself.

Hello Veggers,

I was aMango, but then disappeared from thread!

Have been down your way OB today, at St James Barton, for my sins. Fecking 12 hour round trip. Have got stnking bad headache from all the driving, so need to have an early night - fat chance.

Back in a bit.

Tatties · 04/06/2008 21:41

OB I feel better today, and I am Getting Things Done

Wombling nice to see you I would be wrecked after your trip! Half an hour driving knackers me! Why can't you get an early night?

OsmosisBanana · 04/06/2008 21:47

Yay! Folk with names i understand!

Oh wombling (I always read it womb-ling) you should have said. I work right by the bear pit as we call it on account of all the pissheads / prostitutes / drug addicts that accumulate there.

There is a gert lush little olive place filled right to the rafters with goodness and veg. I could have showed you the cultural highlight of bristol lunchtime.

BTW, I'm not Bristolian. you do all know that right? Not that I have anything against Bristolians, but they are a very aprticular breed and I am not one. They wouldn't accept me as one of their own.

OsmosisBanana · 04/06/2008 21:49

Tatties, glad you feel better, did you get my message?#

God,I feel full of love today. It's all I can do to stop myself putting xxxxxxxxxx at the end of messages.

OsmosisBanana · 04/06/2008 21:52

OMFG!!!

'showed' 'showed'?!?!?

I mean shown.

Sigh. Full of love, not full of grammar.

FruiTicky · 04/06/2008 22:06

I am eating the last piece of cake. I hid it in the cupboard so nobody knew about it.

OsmosisBanana · 04/06/2008 22:19

I've come over a bit gallic tonight

We went to the school

I am still finding it difficult to breathe normally.

I have also drunk tea which means I am not tired...bugger, I needed an early night

How's the laptop bf cushion, Franny?

unChampignon · 04/06/2008 22:24

PMSL at TooTshoot

FruiTicky · 04/06/2008 22:25

FK?

FruiTicky · 04/06/2008 22:25

How was the school? And the teacher?

womblingalong · 04/06/2008 22:28

OB,

I did ask where you had got to, so I could see if you were available to meet up today, I even tried to CAT you, but failed.

Hello Tatties, have found book, under pile of trashy novels improving literature. Will post it back soon I promise.

I won't get an ealry night because I got back from bristol just before 9, and now have to clean, wash, iron, get everyones clothes and bags ready for work/nursery, make packed lunches and MN!

I am so worn out by the relentless drudgery at the moment, and it is like groundhog day too, I do the same things over and over and over....

Sorry to hear you've been below par Tatts.

unChampignon · 04/06/2008 22:32

Bonsoir TooT

The school..well I think it's going to be OK....but I don;t suppose schools go round advertizing the fact that they have Birthday Tables and the like so I am reserving judgement a little bit.

His teacher is young and blonde and pretty...I think DS will like her

But it's a big school (intake of 90 children into reception) and I find it all hugely daunting from a social POV. For DS and for me.

OB you seem a little frisky tonight?

Wombling 12 hour driving not good

FruiTicky · 04/06/2008 22:36

Sounds promising FK. Bigger schools can be good for variety of people/choice of friends.

Wombling - wish I could help you with your chores.

unChampignon · 04/06/2008 22:44

Yes, I hadn;t thought of that

Now I am going to bed, DH is pulling the curtains

There is no deeper significance to him pulling the curtains except that it's bedtime

Night all

pinkspottywellies · 04/06/2008 23:09

Evening! Just date stamping where I've read to! This afternoon I made chocolate loaf cake, banana cake and lavender biscuits and this morning I bought fruit and veg.

aLychee · 04/06/2008 23:17
pinkspottywellies · 05/06/2008 00:03

pinkspottywellies · 05/06/2008 00:06

Who's the mushroom? I get so confused when people name change everyone else seems to go 'oh hi it's you! I recognised your posting style' and I just get baffled.
