For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I am not here but just dropping in to say good morning as had to put out a call for a MNer I would like to speak to.

Nobody worry, I am fine (well, I would be if I weren't coughing quite so much and if the temperature here would oblige by falling a few degrees).

Franny, I think I might do that if these feelings stay - they are very new atm. Would love to see my notes but ds1's birth was at the other end of the country.

I will be 10/10ing throughout my absence. Banana pear peach.

Morning

Thanks for the cake TooT, I love cake for breakfast I think you should be called TooTyFruity

Franny were you aMango? I am glad your visitors are cheering you up, I would love to be able to come as well. I probably do need Kiki whatsit, I think I asked in my health food shop about it but they didn't know what I was on about It is just nausea/general yuckyness I often get in the evenings. I can feel fine when putting ds to bed then as soon as he is asleep it hits me. I am fed up with it because I either want to enjoy my child-free evening or get something done and I can't.

That is interesting about your friend, Franny. I would say exercise is also very beneficial for that kind of thing

Tatties · 04/06/2008 09:35

Oh Bero, I was going to echo what Franny said about having a debrief. I got my notes from ds's birth and I found it helpful (although I realise not everyone would) - there were lots of things I couldn't remember and things I waned to clarify and it filled in the gaps a bit

aPlum · 04/06/2008 09:48

Metal Guru - is it you Mark Bolan

I had to ask too, Mars

Tatties · 04/06/2008 09:52

Oh I have been singing it at ds all week, poor thing

Boco · 04/06/2008 09:56

Tatties are you sure you're not pg? It's just you had rampant hunger the other day, and now nausea ...

This thread keeps making my computer freeze. It's all the renegade fruiters - who are you all, i'm confused.

MarsLady · 04/06/2008 10:05

Thank you I love seeing these titles! Keep up the good work!

I don't know who the dickens anyone is

this was my f+v name do you remember Tatties? I had to look on my nickname history to find it and there are some funny old things on there I can tell you
one is MyOtherFannyIsaVulva which I remember cod and LGJ getting very irate about
there is also WankyandZooey, now that is classy

Tatties · 04/06/2008 10:38

Oh Boco I really don't think so, this nausea stuff has been going on for a long time but I usually manage to refrain from whingeing about it on here

FrannyandZucchini · 04/06/2008 10:40

the avocado print sounds v good indeed
when we have the commune we'll have it in the kitchen

Tatties · 04/06/2008 10:40

Oh yes I remember! I like MyOtherFannyIsaVulva LOL

FrannyandZucchini · 04/06/2008 10:40

yes me too
I got reported for it

Tatties · 04/06/2008 10:42

Really?!

Boco · 04/06/2008 10:43

On what grounds were you reported? How odd.

Who is a lychee?

FrannyandZucchini · 04/06/2008 10:45

they didn't know it was me and reported me "for a terrible vulgar name"
I strongly suspect cod thought it was Greeny and was trying to get her in bother (god they LOATHED each other in those days)

Boco · 04/06/2008 10:47

Did they? Wow, - did they argue? Goodness that'd have been fiery. Did they grow to love each other, or do they just avoid?

FrannyandZucchini · 04/06/2008 10:52

I think they have sneaking respect for one another
or perhaps a secret love in fact

Boco · 04/06/2008 10:55

Yes. A secret love. That would make sense. From different worlds, but still, a true passion simmers...
