For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Good evening

Oh I can't keep up, I am tired. I have the least reason to moan but am going to anyway. It really pisses me off how during the course of he day I can manage to shake off a headache, feel much better, then soon as I get PEACE when ds has gone to bed I feel crap again Oh I am crap ignore me, ignore me

Boco this is the first I've heard about your problems. Hope you can get a good rest tomorrow and look after yourself

Bero take care, I hope you come back refreshed soon and keep emailing (what is the German for the salutation phrase btw? I shan't embarrass myself by guessing, I ought to know really but my German is very rusty)

OsmosisBanana · 03/06/2008 21:41

Mouldy Fanjo!!!! LOLOLOL!

Boco · 03/06/2008 21:43

Bero, good luck, hope you come back soon.

Tatties sorry you're feeling crap. I did have a panicked thread about this when it started, but decided to repress it all until i'd got through my delightful Polish holiday Sure it'll be fine anyway.

Am going to have an early night, see you fruity bitches

Tatties · 03/06/2008 21:47

Oh I missed that Boco sorry. Night night, sleep well

berolina · 03/06/2008 22:05

Will keep in touch

Really off now, after dropping into the German schools thread to spread consolation (maybe).

TooTicky · 03/06/2008 22:06

Huge hugs for Boco and Tatties and Bero and for OB

OB - and anybody else - , if you want to talk about a southwest meet up email me [email protected]

I hope everybody feeling not good feels better v. soon.

Dd2 made a rich cherry fruit cake and I made a chocolate banana cake with chocolate fudge icing. I am so knacxkered that cake supplies seemed a good idea.

WOMBLING just in case you haven't received my email and you happen to pop in here.... really sorry, can't make it to Bristol for tomorrow. Ds2 just had stitches out so can't really travel that far

FruiTicky · 03/06/2008 22:24
Tatties · 03/06/2008 22:50

Ah Bero, I was thinking along those lines!

Oh TooT throw some cake over here would you How is ds now after having stitches out? Sorry for whingeing, normally dp would get the brunt of it but he is not here. I really should go to bed as I am sure lack of sleep is contributing to me feeling crap

oh I said I was off, and I am really after this post, but I have just been writing about ds1's birth for one of these futurey things and I am suddenly completely GUTTED about the way it went I always had it down as a fairly positive experience - probably because it wasn't horrendous, but there was so much that really shouldn't have been the way it was, had I only been more clued-up/assertive/better supported by the system that seemed - now, on reflection - to want to keep me as still and convenient as possible This has really taken me by surprise.

Now I am off again, so don't think me rude for not replying, but I did want to get that out. I am quite weirded out by this.

I washed my hair this morning and now have a strange blocked feeling in one ear. I have tried prodding it, swallowing and coughing to no avail. I hope I won't be shouting.

FrannyandZooey · 04/06/2008 09:03

Bero find someone to go through it with you - I don't know about in Germany but here you can sit down with a midwife and debrief kind of thing
if they won't do it for you at the hospital you could get a doula or private midwife to do it as a one off job - I think it would be worth doing something about it in the long run rather than just dwelling

good luck with RL it's nice out there sometimes

toot how i love your new name also all the other fruity nomenclature goodness
permission to follow trend pls

so glad to hear about the stitches out

bero hope you are ok this morning you sound very troubled

OB have you done the yoghurt thing, is a mouldy fanjo a cunting cunt then?

Boco i had an ovarian cyst the size of a small orange.. it was hormonal and disappeared after mirena was removed.. apparently most ovarian cysts are hormonal and I hope the ultrasound sorts everything out for you

UR how are things with your Dad? how are you

Zippi you sound so pensive, is the thinking helping

Franny were you cunting mango? Are you still bored.. I would sleep and read, read and sleep.. you should store up sleep like a squirrel right now

had some thai veg last night, carrots, cabbage, peppers, onions, beansprouts etc
an orange this morning

I am on a cleaning bender for the landlady, it is very boring and I have nothing at all to report except the efficacy of cleaning products

FrannyandZooey · 04/06/2008 09:08

TooT me and dp get this a lot
put olive oil in every night for a week then if still not better go and have them syringed (the oil will have softened the wax so they can shift it)
sorry but you will feel fab once they are clear

Tatties you have as much right to whinge as anyone else! Why do you think you are feeling so rotten in the evenings, are you just very tired, or is it stress, or both, or something else? Do you need Kiki superfood? [ducks as everyone shouts 'Shut UP about Kiki superfood')

Boco hope you feel better
ditto OB
ditto young TooT
ditto anyone I missed

i feel i must say after reading in and lurking (due to f and v failure) that you are all such a lovely bunch of coconuts

FrannyandZooey · 04/06/2008 09:11

stuffit is that you? I am sure I had some vegetable names
what was I Tatties do you remember?
LOL at cunting cunt
no I was not CuntingMango, I would never be so crude

morning all veggers
pineapple, melon, 3 kiwis, raisins
about 5 I reckon, not a bad little start to the day

no I am not feeling so bored as lots of veggers keep visiting me
the supply seems to have dried up slightly though
I think it was because it was the weekend and I am meant to be resting and it is very dull to do NOTHING and also dp and ds are around most of the time so it isn't actually even peaceful and I did have some books to read and some are quite good. I am reading Tunnels atm and it is fun.
