For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

fullmoonfiend · 29/05/2008 14:01

Dear MrsC, and Tatties - thank you for my cards xx

MrsCarrot · 29/05/2008 14:12

oh good, it got there in time. I did that knocking on the PO door pleading to be let in for a stamp at 5.31 things again, the last time on the box was 5.30. I am so disorganised.

Took dd to see Nim's Island today. It was absolutely brilliant, she really loved it, I haven't seen a childs film that I enjoyed for quite a while.

Fruit for breakfast, popcorn and M&M 's for lunch.

Avi, dh has taken boys on boat, I am going allotty then preparing for a girly party.
I have made chicken in white wine and cream sauce, breaded garlic mushrooms, chorizo in red wine, chickpea butterbean and tomato stew, fritata, goats cheese and olive bruschetta, prawns in chili and butter, and patatas bravas. Do you think that is enough ?

ahundredtimes · 29/05/2008 14:26

Oh dear poor Boco. What a disastrous trip. Am pleased dd on the mend though. Hopefully someone will have brought her some kind of food by now.

Am flying by. We were away yesterday, back today, then off to London tomorrow for weekend.

Hope everyone else ok. Happy Birthday FMF.

TigerFeet · 29/05/2008 15:02

Hope Boco's having a better day today and that miniBoco continues to improve

Happy Birthday to FMF and belated the same to Pink , and anyone else, were there other birthdays?

FrayedKnot · 29/05/2008 15:57

Happy Birthday FMF!

You sound like you are having a good day, hope the party goes well! Food sounds delicious.

Hope Boco has eaten and washed by now. It is probably 2 hours ahead there, right? Glad to hear DD2 is recovering. Hope they can come home soon.

I should not be here as I am also supposed to be packing to go to Norfolk , and doing a million oterh things.

MrsC I was banging on the PO door at 8.50 this morning begging to get my tax disc right then so not to be late for work.

My life seems to have become a big, teetering, towering multilayered sandwich which I never get round to eating.

One little knock and the whole thing will come collapsing round my ears and shower me with radiccio and tuna mayonnaise.

FrannyandZooey · 29/05/2008 16:37

Email from foxy:

"Boco has managed to escape as ILs are looking after dd2.

She?s gone to get food. They can?t release dd2 yet but she is doing much better and is only a ?medium crisis crepidation? (lol) whatever that means. I think they have downgraded her from an emergency to still rubbish but not critical so that?s a relief (but she is still on antibs, nebulisers and steroids poor little mite)."

phew that is a relief all round. Hope she finds some way to get a more comfortable night though.

FK am looking forward to seeing you on your way back from Norfolk. And MrsC is going to come over on Tuesday oh hurrah for 10 / 10 ers

that is good news

FrannyandZooey · 29/05/2008 18:18

chickpeas, salad leaves, tomatoes, hummus, various bits of veg in things like couscous salad

went out to country park and made bug hotels (well ds did, I sat fatly in the corner and had 20 winks)
it was most pleasingly dangerous with real hacksaws and power tools and stuff and a very laid back facilitator

it rained a lot
we meandered in the woods in our raincoats and then partook of their cafe facilities for a not inconsiderable time

Your trip has made you all poetical Fra. I think you are keeping a Travel Journal. Like a lady on the Grand Tour.

FrannyandZooey · 29/05/2008 18:20

oooh ooh found milton WIPES
what a coup
was at a loss as how to clean the electronic plastic toys without immersing them in Miltons
baby clothes all cleaning up v nicely at 60 deg, no casualties yet

thanks again all for being kind and sensible when I was losing it

FrannyandZooey · 29/05/2008 18:21

LOL
well I am not likely to get on a Grand Tour so I might as well be grandiose about a trip on the bus to the local park

FrannyandZooey · 29/05/2008 18:22

Thanks for the updates about Boco. Am glad DD is perkier. When I was in Poland and didn't understand what they were saying, they had a tendancy to yell it louder as if that might help. And, in the bank, brandished a gun at me. So I can imagine how horrible it is for Boco.

Happy Bday FMF. Sounds like a lovey day. I want to come for dinner.

Spinach and perhaps a mushroom

FrannyandZooey · 29/05/2008 18:24

at a gun
you don't think they will wave a gun at Boco in the hospital if she doesn't eat the meat block, do you?
