For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

We went to friend's lovely house on welsh borders for the day, and then were persuaded to stay over so we did. Was all v. marvellous and children went feral in woods miles away. JJ has never had so much fresh air. He has gone into a nervous decline.

We are off to London tomorrow.

Were we hope to meander through capital parks and partake of their many and numerous facilities whilst admiring unusual architecture and modes of current modern transport.

TigerFeet · 29/05/2008 18:27

perhaps a mushroom?

was it maybe a toadstool [gulp]

or was it one of those mushrooms?

UnderRated · 29/05/2008 18:44

Poles like people to eat. At all costs. Even if it is a meat & fish block. I hope Boco is coping.

I did eat some mushroom - it was in a quiche and chopped up. I should have said perhaps 1 mushroom. I wish it had been one of those mushrooms.

Where is zippi?

FrayedKnot · 29/05/2008 19:09

Good news about Bocolet, and Boco being able to get away to eat and rest.

I forgot I have a lovely workmate who is Polish but no good now as I'm not going back to work until Tuesday. He is rather attractive, not sure if it's a Polish thing or just he's a bit of a dish. Wish I could have sent him to rescue Boco. Mind you, he is married.

Yes, where is Zippi?

A pear. Curry with 4 veg and lentils. Shepherds pie with a possible carrot.

Oh dear, not a brilliant day. But I went to the gym.

And I am taking a melon to Norfolk. Otherwise someone might try to palm me off with a sugarbeet.

Have just had a row with DH about money. I hate it when that happens Don;t think I'm going to be giving up work anytime soon

FrannyandZooey · 29/05/2008 19:29

Thomas the Tank Engine is just atrocious. Even as a child, pre-Disneyfication, I loathed him

Mine liked the brio thomas

Have eaten stupendous amounts of vegetables in a tofu stir fry with wild rice, too many to list but must have been four or five portions. This was to make up for the cinema lunch.

We quite like Thomas. The proper books can be quite amusing to read (not the modern useless versions). Some of our engines have faces, some don't. Quite often the ones without faces have more character - Rescue Train is a particular favourite.

Idris I do have them, please email me. Last call for any size 9s boys shoes before I offer them up to the site as a whole
now Ivor the Engine, that is a proper story about trains
can you switch him onto that Avi?

we (well, dp, I would never have done it) bought a Thoman magazine once and it was plain nasty as you say. The morality of it was just dodgy as all get out - people being 'paid back' and god knows what else. However it did contain the memorable phrase "Mind your own buffers" which as I have mentioned before is extremely useful and satisfying.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 29/05/2008 20:19

I often say mind your own buffers twice

the moses basket is here! it is cute and white and frilly! it has no mouse poo on it. it has a hood what exactly does the hood do, does anyone know?

OP posts:
UnderRated · 29/05/2008 20:25

I hate Thomas with a passion. Unfortunatley DS has been given many many thomas trains. The books often disappear

Yay for Moses basket. Why do they have a hood?

FrannyandZooey · 29/05/2008 20:25

I dunno
to keep the mice cosy?
