For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I'm agitated now

foxinsocks · 28/05/2008 21:30

yes, I think that's best. You can start the thread if you like but we are in the dark really and I'm not sure much can be done tonight anyway and tomorrow, the ILs will be back to visit so she can pop out if she needs to.

Think key thing is for them to contact the travel insurance straight away methinks and sort out what's going on. I think there was one doctor that spoke English to boco so let's hope he is back at some point while MIL isn't there to translate.

key thing I guess is that her dd is stable

TigerFeet · 28/05/2008 21:32

Me too - I keep thinking of how I would feel in Boco's situation and I know I would be falling apart

Fox if you think it's better to wait then I'm happy to go by your judgement

TigerFeet · 28/05/2008 21:34

DH also says that she should be able to contact the British Consulate

foxinsocks · 28/05/2008 21:34

I don't want to hold you back but just not sure much can be done now tbh.

Also don't want to keep using her phone if she hasn't a charger and is worried about running out of battery. Have asked her for the name of the hospital. Without that, there's nothing anyone can do anyway, even if you found someone.

foxinsocks · 28/05/2008 21:38

Boco says she has no idea of the hospital name but dd is breathing easier and sleeping. Is dark there and she is thinking of climbing in the cot with dd .

She says she's waiting for your helicopter franny.

fullmoonfiend · 28/05/2008 21:41

oh fox, if you speak to her, tell her how much we're thinking of her....

foxinsocks · 28/05/2008 21:43

I sent her (all) your love. Won't call her now unless she asks because of battery situation.

MrsCarrot · 28/05/2008 21:44

of course, she can't even ask the name can she, I assume there's more than one hospital

fullmoonfiend · 28/05/2008 21:44
MrsCarrot · 28/05/2008 21:49

hopefully she can get a bit of rest

foxinsocks · 28/05/2008 21:52

yes, more than one hosp. I checked . Fingers crossed for inlaw action.

fullmoonfiend · 28/05/2008 21:53

off to bed now, hope for some better news in morning
x

MrsCarrot · 28/05/2008 21:54

Yes thanks for all the info too

I won't text again with the battery situation, is enough to relay it to one person I think but just wanted to send her love. Keep us informed.

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2008 22:00

Thanks to you both for messages
I hope she can sleep somehow!
I am weaving a helicopter from mango skin and mouse poo
tell her to keep eating the apples meantime

Oh good lord, poor Boco and poor Boco's DD2

As you say hopefully it will just be getting through tonight and then at least one member of her family will think she might need a break and something to eat tomorrow

Not having a phone charger probably the biggest challenge, I would think.

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2008 22:07

is a phone charger a tricky thing to get hold of in Poland? I remember my parents getting one sent to Lanzarote when their's bust, but they were out there for weeks

foxinsocks · 28/05/2008 22:11

doubt it tbh. Will be the getting that's the issue .

I am at work tomorrow and Friday so if I get any updates, I will have to relay them via email if that's ok.

MrsC, I'm sure it's fine if you text. She can always turn phone off if necessary.

berolina · 28/05/2008 22:12

I posted my email address further down saying I would be more than happy to organise an emergency food parcel and get it off tomorrow (in the hope that it would be quicker than he UK as less far to travel. express of course). please do let me know by email if you want me to do this - shall not be on this thread again tonight

MrsCarrot · 28/05/2008 22:15

ok, fox, thanks

IdrisTheDragon · 28/05/2008 22:16

Poor Boco and DD2 .

MrsCarrot · 28/05/2008 22:17

bero - that is kind, but I think they will probably get some food to her by tomorrow. I bloody hope so anyway.

IdrisTheDragon · 28/05/2008 22:17

And grr at her DH

Tatties · 28/05/2008 22:23

Oh no! Poor poor Boco How awful
