For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

stop fretting

have told her about insurance (and have told her to tell MIL to call...not only the translator, they can sort out transport etc. etc...)

have volunteered to call embassy

MIL can translate

is an awful situation but I don't think there's much we can do. Have told her to order MIL to be helpful re food etc. but she is pleased that other dd is ok so she doesn't have to worry about it.

I find it astounding that another family member or friend can't take her something though. I suppose we don't know the situation.

yes yes yes

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2008 21:12

I know you are right Avi but Boco having her dinner seems Urgently Important also to me

will she like it if we send unknown people to see her? Hopefully if they speak English and bring food and a pillow then yes she will

MrsCarrot · 28/05/2008 21:15

yes, you are right about the medication but I do think no food or sleep is hideous in that situation, makes it so hard to be objective and together. She is a tough cookie but that is shit.

littlerach · 28/05/2008 21:15

I ahve just texted my mate who is Polish, as her parents were near Krakow last week, but they are back here noe.
Her mum is a nurse, so could have been useful.
Nevermind.

lullabyloo · 28/05/2008 21:15

is there any way at all of having anything delivered if we knew the hospital wherabouts?

foxinsocks · 28/05/2008 21:18

hopefully she can sort food tomorrow when ILs come round to visit

it is shit being stuck there in a plastic chair and a v old hospital but they can't move her dd yet so Boco is just having to be very brave.

I have hopes for ILs tomorrow. I think if Boco doesn't order them around, I may well do it myself grrr.

lullabyloo · 28/05/2008 21:19
Sad
MrsCarrot · 28/05/2008 21:21

Exactly, there's a PIL too isn't there? I don't really get it but I guess all we can do is send her our thoughts and hope they get through it quick.

TigerFeet · 28/05/2008 21:21

Shall I start a thread then?

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2008 21:23

I think yes

OP posts:
foxinsocks · 28/05/2008 21:23

we don't know the hospital or anything. I mean, I could find out but maybe leave it a day and let's see if the ILs manage to produce more than an apple.

I think half the problem was that they didn't think she was THAT sick so maybe (thinks kind thoughts) they have not realised how bad the situation is iyswim i.e. it's been a bit of a shock.

lullabyloo · 28/05/2008 21:25

a day in a plastic chair with no food, sleep or company & worried sick

fullmoonfiend · 28/05/2008 21:25

oh dear gods....poor poor Boco

Where is thread?

MrsCarrot · 28/05/2008 21:25

what would the thread be for?

lullabyloo · 28/05/2008 21:26

a mnetter in poland

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2008 21:27

will go by your judgement fox
if we could get her some food for the night and a bed or blanket or something it would be so cool
but tbh unlikely at this stage of the day
as you say if things don't improve tomorrow we could start agitating a bit

OP posts:
fullmoonfiend · 28/05/2008 21:29

oh can't we start agitating now???

Can't we start a ''any mums in Krakow'' thread now?
