We've never reached that level of helpless hysteria before. She's only 5.

Boco · 13/05/2008 20:21

UnderRated · 13/05/2008 20:26

It sounds very intense, Boco.

zippitippitoes · 13/05/2008 20:28

its just rhubarb that is poisonous isnt it

UnderRated · 13/05/2008 20:38

Yes, you can eat beetroot leaves. I think. Do not eat rhubarb leaves. Be careful zippi

MrsCarrot · 13/05/2008 20:51

I love that kind of laughing, ds1 makes me crack up sometimes and we roll around helplessly to dd's annoyance.

I also get it when we have roast prok but only because we always have perry with pork and perry makes me screech after half a glass.

OsmosisBanana · 13/05/2008 22:26

Oh lordy. BCFC are in the play off finals at Wembley. I was promised that May 3rd would be the end of the football season. No such bloody luck.

I mean 'Yay! Go Robins!'

BBBee · 13/05/2008 23:21

i like boco's story at lot.

have to go - up early.

lots of love

UnderRated · 14/05/2008 00:42

Where's lully?

stuffitllama · 14/05/2008 08:35

morning all, bbee and Toot are the bairns alright?
and bero and ur I have been thinking of you

boco i am sorry for your very sad news. it is so painful. My sister recently had a terrible loss and I so wanted to take the pain away for her. but it is impossible and felt veyr helpless.

MrsCarrot · 14/05/2008 11:49

What happened to that bride thread, Stuffit, I noticed you posted just before me and now it's gone. Was there a row?

Boco · 14/05/2008 12:21

Morning, have had a massive 3 hour driving lesson and have wobbly legs.

Our car exhaust has fallen off and N taken it to the garage without thinking about how he's going to get dd from pre-school so she's slightly stranded. hope hes sorting it out.

I'd like to go and do my work outside but on Monday when I did that a bird shat on it.

I've eaten a banana, it wasn't great.

MrsCarrot · 14/05/2008 12:35

That must be a lucky painting, Boco, sponge it off and enter it in something. I got an A for my A-level where a bird shat on my head on the way, and I failed the other one. They said no-one else had got an A and a fail before.

MrsCarrot · 14/05/2008 12:38

but it wasn't that lucky as you can't go to university with one A-level even if it is an A.

I am about to have the Greek salad that I couldn't have yesterday as there was no red onion, except now there is no cucumber. My guest has been instructed to bring one. After today there will be no guests for a while.

I am eating lots of grapefuits at the moment, in that seventies way cut half in a bowl with sugar. If I had a cherry I woud put one on.

Boco · 14/05/2008 12:38

It wouldn't sponge off unfortunately, the paper was too thin. So, not very lucky. I thought the birds were our friends, but they are not.

Boco · 14/05/2008 12:40

I hate grapefruit, it's what dds call 'winter windmill'. DD made that up when she was two to describe tart things. She also called them 'spicy pond'.

Is a break in guests a good thing?

We're having greek salad and felafel and pitta for dinner tonight, it's my favourite.

MrsCarrot · 14/05/2008 12:45

is it your favourite, Boco? I love it too.

Yes, a break in guests is very good, I cannot bear to go over events one more time. Also, I can spend the next couple of days with DH as he is working next week, from home a lot of it but still, I would rather see people then I think.

MrsCarrot · 14/05/2008 12:46

lol at winter windmill, that is a pefect description. I have to have lots of brown sugar on them though.

Boco · 14/05/2008 12:56

It is, with lots of red onion. And avocado.

Hope you have a nice couple of days with your dh. I had a dream that you were in last night that keeps coming back but I don't really know what happened. Not much I think. You were sitting on a wall.

OsmosisBanana · 14/05/2008 13:28

Now then, to really do justice to a greek salad you need to roast and skin some red peppers, cut into small cubes and chuck in. Whole new ball game.

I would put roasted pappers with everything if they didn't do such evils to my digestion.

UnderRated · 14/05/2008 14:20

Morning/ afternoon

Sorry about the bird poo

stuffitllama · 14/05/2008 14:42

Hi all
having a troubled f & v day
viz: good intentions and none
am hoping to reach at least five tonight

not sure mrs c: i thought the bride might have come on and clicked.. were you in the "call her" brigade? did you agree with me?

stuffitllama · 14/05/2008 14:43

oh bird poo
well if there's no other poo around i guess it will ahve to do

TigerFeet · 14/05/2008 14:43

Greek Salad is lovely one doesn't put devil food olives in it. I love feta cheese. I went on a course yesterday at which feta cheese was discussed at length and it made me hungry

DD's school appeal has failed. I am feeling sad and anxious and crap. I am now having to figure out how the hell we are going to manage getting her to the school she has been allocated. Poor little love, she will only just be 4 in September and will have so much upheaval (sp?). I have a mind to keep her off school until a place becomes available at the school we want, but we are 9th on the list for a year group of 40 so it could be a long time coming, if ever. I have a meeting tomorrow to discuss changing my hours so I can manage it all. Feckity feckity feck.

UnderRated · 14/05/2008 14:58

Oh gosh, Tigerfeet. I'm sorry

I love olives. And Feta. Must go out before I begin eating the entire content of my fridge.

I think I may need some love-life advice later.
