FMV - How do you manage at a festival?

Plumo if anyone is interested. There are some sweet things in the living section. I like the morrocan lamps and the bell jar cake stand but none of it is really necessary. It's a bit Cath Kidston though.

I've eaten a lot of veg today - carrots, radishes, watercress, baby sweetcorn also

rasps / blueb / strawb / 2 x banana.

However, I have also had a large family size bag of crisps. It is beer replacement. So salty. Could do with a beer. Poop. I have cloudy lemonade in the shed - that'll have to do. I will try and ignore the cold cans of lager in the crisper drawer.

Sad baby news is hard and leaves you helpless and flailing. My dear lovely friend has miscarried twice since I had ds2 and I think I was almost more upset than after my own miscarriages. I got used, in a grim way, to my own bad luck, but couldn't bear her to be touched by the horribleness.

I am OK, btw. Have got a few things done. When I get like this I have to just plough on, otherwise I get inordinately on people's (and my own) nerves. 2 botanic garden hours with a delighted ds1 and a restless ds2 who kept trying to launch himself upwards/backwards out of the sling . I was exhausted, in both a good and a bad way, when I got home.

I just had a very strange experience with dd1. We were sitting together at the piano trying to learn a tune and not doing very well, dd tired and not getting it, me singing along and getting the words wrong, and dd got the giggles, but the totally helpless hysterical kind - and then I caught it from her and the two of us were weeping and sobbing and snorting and whimpering and had tears streaming, couldn't stop at all, it was a total mixture of laughing and crying, I've not done that without some kind of drug or alcohol involved and not for years, you know when your sides ache and you can't stop. Dp came in and did face, dd2 got upset because we were rolling around helplessly and must have looked rather alarming. It lasted for about 15 minutes, we're both all blotchy and tear streaked. Was new and funny and weird.
