For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

ahundredtimes · 09/05/2008 22:38

Right night veggers. Am going to tidy the kitchen [hollow laugh]

Mrs C, franny and Boco have my email address. Get it from them and I'll send you a reading list? Or if you don't mind, I'll ask them to send it to me?

MrsCarrot · 09/05/2008 22:38

My friend put me in the fromt of her book after I proof read it in exchange for her reading my dissertation. I think she got the raw deal. I was very proud though.

100 - that would be great but I don't have your e-mail, or CAT, I am useless. Will someone assist. Thank you kindly.

I mean i will send you a list and you can say yay or nay, and then I shall send you BOOKS. Not that I shall send you a reading list of improving works which you have to purchase. [pompous]

I have to get away from these ANTS.

NIGHT

Night all bedward-bound veggers.

I love these pics. ds1 is difficult to photograph (especially with a restless ds2 strapped to front and trying to pitch himself head-first out of sling). I have an Idea of a Perfect Ds1 Photograph in my head, and have somehow never quite got it but got many many beautiful photos in the process.

Bero, he is so gorgeous I just want to scrum him up

Goodnight all, I'm staying up a bit longer to watch Peep Show and let my enormous meat-laden stomach subside a bit.

Boco · 09/05/2008 23:19

I missed 100's pictures.

Bero your ds is very sweet.

Sorry MrsC and 100, MrsC had asked me to organise email exchange ages ago and kept forgetting.

I am very CROSS that you all shared when I wasn't looking.

Hmmmph.

TooTicky · 09/05/2008 23:19

Bero - lovely pics
I was especially struck by the one of just his hands and the blossom. It's not the sort of photo one necessarily thinks of taking, but it is gorgeous - especially his little thumbs.
Obviously his face is beautiful too

Am chuckling at you all thinking me elven and innocent. I drank extreme amounts of beer, cider, vodka and whisky from age 15-18. Got it out of my system early it seems as I barely drink at all now.

Ds1 will be 9 tomorrow
He is in extraordinarily good mood, bouncing about and hitting himself on the head with random objects. Also pretending to eat his toothbrush in the most hilarious way. That boy has talent.
Will make cake tomorrow.

OsmosisBanana · 09/05/2008 23:35

bero - I frickin missed it all too so DH could do some frickin college work.

And no-one is letting me include birkenstocks as veg.

Yes avi - bare it was intentional. Extra veg points for you for noticing. [hastily concocting new veg rules whilst FZ snoozes]

wankrs.

I want to see 100.

OsmosisBanana · 09/05/2008 23:36

Akshully, I want to see azll of you. Stop it with the enigmaness. Or whatever.

I have a 'playdate' tomoz. Pray for me fellow veggers. Hopefully I won't have to go to the soft play
