For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

when it is actually code for who has hidden the fucking hose as i need it now for the builder who is doing this disabled ramp

and i am panicking majorly nhence bed haoir and lost hairbrush

i cant get the building inspector to answer the phone either

glad people are feeling better generally ..hope you are in less pain mrs c

posting like zippi?

didnt realise i had a look to my posts..how come i do it differentlY

I OBVIOUSLY THINK IN JERKS

whoops

they are coming back on saturday to do this ramp..it is going to cost me a ridicu;lous amount as he is talking of a price adjustment hollow lol it was a rip off to start with

did i say i have signed up for a climbing course on monday nights

i am still angsting over this cpontraception business

i think taking the risk seems as aceeptable as anything else

the only problem being as i seem to have started missing periods i am going to be always worrying i could in a parallel universe be pregnant

but thei s mirenba coil thing sounds ott and crap

zippitippitoes · 08/05/2008 12:26

hope you are all enjoying the weather

i mostly wear the same clothes all year just les of them so in wointer strappy vest three quarter sleeve t shirt and another t shirt and a jumper and if nec a cardigna
in summer reduce

and jeans

tho i have got some skirts i had in egypt

but skirts not much use for doing stuff

actualy i have just remembered i have board shorts and white trousers as i got this stuff to go to egypt

zippitippitoes · 08/05/2008 12:27

i managed to switch my light off at 10.15 last night and woke up at 8 amm

i am trying to intend to plan to go to bed by 10 each night for a bit hopefully if i can

pinkspottywellies · 08/05/2008 12:57

Thanks MrsC. DD has now been asleep for over 2 hours and I have got some housework done so feeling a bit better. Waiting for her to wake up now cause I need to go out!

Why don't you want to use any contraception Zip? Even something non-hormonal? Early nights sounds like a good idea. I need to have a ten o'clock week (I need an incentive other than I would feel loads better.)

Your posts tend to be lots of single lines. You don't waffle in long paragraphs!!

Hi Stuffit! White linen?!! I guess it would've worked for me yesterday when I got nappy cream on my jeans and had to change - could've just rubbed it into white linen!! Wouldn't have hidden the banana though.

TooTicky · 08/05/2008 13:43

Zippi, I'm intrigued by your bed haior. What is it?
And if you're worrying about what is happening to you in another universe, you are thinking too much. The other you can worry about herself.

Having crazy day - took bus into town, one of the shops I really needed had a hastily scrawled notice saying, "Due to unforseen circumstances we are closed for a while". So had to come home then drive to anothere town

WHY does nobody sell marzipan when it's not Christmas? I wanted some for ds1's b'day cake. Will have to get creative with ground almonds, almond extract and icing sugar.

Dp has just dropped garlic breadsticks into the kettle

zippitippitoes · 08/05/2008 13:47

bed hair i have now found the hirbrush

i am having my usual builder angst this guy is making up stuff

he was recommended by the woman i have since decided i cant stand at college

i asked him on the phone to build this ramp in bricks and now he is saying he was asked to do it concrete

no definitely not

because when i spoke to him on the phone he said it would still have to have a retaining wall in brick

for heavens sake if it had been in concrete inside the wall then i could have done it myself

i am cross now that i didnt get someone else to do it

breadsticks in kettle?

zippitippitoes · 08/05/2008 13:48

no contraception because it is all crap as far as i can see

i just dont like having my body on drugs

and at my age pregnancey seems a remote possibility

TooTicky · 08/05/2008 13:48

Oh dear, all this house stuff sounds nightmarish. Especially if you can't totally trust the workmen.

TooTicky · 08/05/2008 13:50

Yes, drug contraception is horrid stuff.
A remote chance is still a chance though.

Yes, breadsticks. They leapt out of the cupboard apparently

lullabyloo · 08/05/2008 14:20

Toot,when is ds's birthday?
Is it normal marzipan you need?
Would you like me to look for some & post ?

Oh Lully darling, thank you, but it's Saturday! I ALWAYS leave everything until the last minute
Oh, and I haven't even got icing sugar - out of stock in my nice friend's shop. May have to sacrifice all and buy Tate'n'Lyle or something.

OsmosisBanana · 08/05/2008 16:08

I have been on a diet for 3 weeks now and haven't lost one single bloody lb. I'm getting quite distressed about this as all my not eating meat only fish and no bread, no pasta etc etc has all been in vain.

What's even worse is it means I'm going to have to exercise or stop drinking

NNNNNNNnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So rry to be self obsessed but there you go.

Hope you're all well and not suffering an unsuccessful diet.,

TooTicky · 08/05/2008 16:10

Exercise isn't all bad y'know
As for drinking - I used to drink one hell of a lot but now I drink probably less than once a year and don't miss it. There is a middle ground though

Tatties · 08/05/2008 16:15

MrsC how thoughtful of your neighbour How are you feeling?

Zippi all contraception is a bit of a PITA in some way or another isn't it

Bero yes show us a pic of your new hair!

Poor ds is all itchy There's no obvious rash but he is scratching all over his chest and neck. I am wondering if he got an insect bite or something? I went to get him some piriton so I hope that will ease it

We have had some lovely juicy fresh pineapple today and I think I will do some beansprouts in a stir-fry for dinner...

Tatties · 08/05/2008 16:18

OB I am not doing any regular exercise atm (unless you count sex and digging ) but let me tell you, when I joined the gym and went frequently last year I felt great

berolina · 08/05/2008 16:20

zippi, is your cycle regular enough to go by calendar? I am going to do this when my cycle is back, assuming it is as regular as it has been previously.

stuffit, I would, but didn't take any pics yesterday and today would have to style it again to properly get that lovelybouncycurly effect. (Twas nothing dramatic, she just put in a bit of product and twisted the hair round her fingers, but still). Plus I wear my hair very unglamorously up usually to stop dses pulling on it

OB sympathies. Long walks? - tis lovely weather for it.

kiskidee has sent me English goodies including chocolate digestives Somebody stop me going back for a fifth another one.

OsmosisBanana · 08/05/2008 16:23

I think maybe sitting on the sofa watching Davina is not enough. I think you're supposed to have a go.

Ah well.

berolina · 08/05/2008 16:23

stuffit and tatties, sorry

I will Do It Nicely again for ds2's christening next Sun and put a couple of pics up then. I am going to wear this dress in red. sadly it makes what norkage I have disappear completely, but otherwise is very lovely.

OsmosisBanana · 08/05/2008 16:23

shall I just post that again in case anyone missed it?

Tatties · 08/05/2008 16:27

LOL at watching Davina

Bero gorgeous dress! Is it easy to bf in?

zippitippitoes · 08/05/2008 16:28

i think digging and sex boith count as exercise

worry can be counted too i think

no my periods seem to have gone irregular the last few months or may be longer

saw something called the ring but maybe that is in the US

i have just taken dp off the company as director and put dd1 on...withput actually involving her all this is clearly wrong

i did mention it to her ages ago and she wasnt keen so it went into the nothing done because too complex pile

anyway the company is going to be dormant so she wont know

zippitippitoes · 08/05/2008 16:30

oh it is a nice dress she doesnt look pregnant tho

berolina · 08/05/2008 16:43

It has 'nursing openings' under the wrap bit I'm usually quite of all these 'nursing' clothes, as I think they can encourage women to feel they need all sorts of special paraphernalia to bf, but otherwise I really wouldn't be able to wear a dress really, and I did want to wear one, so I went for it.
