For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

lullabyloo · 08/05/2008 20:12

Second week running quote of the week has gone to a 10/10er [proud]

BBBee · 08/05/2008 20:39

hello

lovely 10/10ers. hope life is wonderful for you all.

blossom is lovely - am going to bluebell woods at the weekend.

love to all.

Papillon · 08/05/2008 20:39

The children woke up and evil hours this morning, so it was many mandarins and an ENORmous Fuji apple in bed. So we are healthy eaters before our feet even touch the floor.

The maize bales I got yesterday, they were a mission to pull apart and chuck over the fence, and I am the size of an elf, are for my new vege garden, am moving it too a more sunny location.

my neighbours loves the crab apples, leave her large apples and tiny crab apples in her letter box, so she is going to make crab apple jelly and give me a jar. That will be good on the toast in the morning, or with a roast perhpas...

FrannyandZooey · 08/05/2008 20:51

woohoo I have never been quote of the week before I don't think

we must keep it going, everyone be very pithy and quotable so a 10 / 10 er can get it again next week

personal trainer v good
have done 1 hour of strenuous things sitting down

Paps we also eat loads of fruit in bed if ds gets up at unearthly hour
it gives him something to do and makes me feel less like a zombie

OP posts:
lullabyloo · 08/05/2008 20:58

ds stays in bed till I wake up and plays with his gazillion animals [smug]

pinkspottywellies · 08/05/2008 20:59

Where where? I haven't had the e-mail yet!

FrannyandZooey · 08/05/2008 21:01

we have had great success at staying in bed in the morning this week with Puzzle Adventure books
shall link
they are dull as ditchwater to me and endlessly fascinating to ds
dp has gone in once or twice saying 'you know you can get up now if you want, me and Mummy are awake' to which ds has answered 'yes yes as soon as I have finished this book'

OP posts:
lullabyloo · 08/05/2008 21:03

Lol...best by the whole set quick

FrannyandZooey · 08/05/2008 21:04

Pink it was quite dull and I am sure I nicked the bit about the petri dish from someone else
but QUOTE OF THE WEEK

FrannyandZooey · 08/05/2008 21:22

OP posts:
BBBee · 08/05/2008 21:25

FrannyandZooey · 08/05/2008 21:27

pelvic whatsit is the same
am being stoical optimistic about it
what is squirmy?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 08/05/2008 21:28

"I hate the smell, the noise, the OTHER PEOPLE and the awful moistness everywhere, it is like walking around inside a petri dish for an hour"

there you go

OP posts:
BBBee · 08/05/2008 21:29

oh that is better,

sorry 'squirmy' is what i called dd in utero but in my tired state did not realise was not common parlance.

Boco · 08/05/2008 21:34

Goodness me. All this time I thought the expression was 'dull as dishwater', but now i find it's actually ditchwater. I've said it wrong for years.

FrannyandZooey · 08/05/2008 21:35

ah
foetus very bloody active and likes to sit with what I am hoping is its very bony bottom (don't want a head up there) rammed up against my ribcage and making me feel like I am likely to burst
