For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Boco · 02/05/2008 18:47

I wonder how MrsC is doing.
I hope we hear from her soon.

I went to a fantastic drawing on table cloths thing at the cafe in the village. Children all got free banana cake and juice and to draw whatever they wanted all over the table cloths. Dd1 did this intricate jack and the beanstalk picture with a castle in the clouds, was good. DD2 drew a series of freakish camels with baby faces and many legs. Was fun. And free, even the cake.

Fullmoonfiend · 02/05/2008 18:48

how lovely that sounds Boco (especially the cake bit...)

May I join you in pacing? I have been thinking about her all day.

FrannyandZooey · 02/05/2008 18:48

oh Boco I hoped that was you coming on with news

I love free cake and table cloths event, why don't we have that here? I will complain to MP

Boco · 02/05/2008 18:57

No nothing yet.
She probably wont text tonight I reckon she'll be feeling groggy.

stuffitllama · 02/05/2008 18:59

it does sound more positive, they should understand a genuine misunderstanding on your part
but no point worrying about it and letting it spoil the weekend
just hope you get a nice cooperative person and not a jobsworth

oh ur lift man hasn't put you off the dating process has he?

UnderRated · 02/05/2008 19:03

stuffit, men have put me off the dating process

stuffitllama · 02/05/2008 19:07

lol and urgh
shame they have to be in on it really

EmmyLou · 02/05/2008 19:08

Ummm, I know the thread has meandered elsewhere, but before I put up some Ikea flatpack that arrived today while ignoring DD3 in bath...have been thinking about this 10/10 thing more and more as 40th birthday becomes a faded memory...but what if you tend towards the dicky tummy kind of conditions anyway - can you have too much of a good thing?

?

stuffitllama · 02/05/2008 19:09

but hours and hours of chat on the phone
that must bellow the embers

UnderRated · 02/05/2008 19:12

Yes, stuffit, some parts are nice and leave one feeling warm and glowy. We'll see how this goes.

Emmylou, Franny is our resident expert on tummies & bottoms. I haven't had a problem with 10/10 but I don't know about anyone else.

EmmyLou · 02/05/2008 19:14

Thanks UR, I thought she might be the relevant font of wisdom.

stuffitllama · 02/05/2008 19:17

just changed the sheets -- how i love fresh clean sheets

emmylou no problems here either

ur won't jinx it by talking about it.. just a in case next weekend works out

UnderRated · 02/05/2008 19:23

Stuffit, I might come and sleep in your bed tonight

DS has filled mine with trains and the contents of his sock drawer.

stuffitllama · 02/05/2008 19:27

lol at ds
how i remember the surprises

it's certainly very crispy ..dh might not even be lucky enough to make it

stuffitllama · 02/05/2008 19:29

the birthday movie is over (alvin and the chipmunks.. just couldn't bear to share that joy) and the children approach
good luck with the socks
wonder how mrs c is

UnderRated · 02/05/2008 19:32

Enjoy the bed, stuffit.

I have to go and host a spring carb fest party for 30+ toddlers. I would rather stay home and sleep.
