Is there a strange virus going around?

This is a really odd one!
started on Friday with a very sudden sore throat. Low grade fever overnight, woke to awful muscle pains, neck ache and a general feeling of low level unwell.
Saturday felt off with a running nose and aches and pains. Kept feeling warm and waves of nausea. Overnight into Sunday stomach pains started with diarrhoea and nausea, snotty nose, shivery, headache.
Symptoms are coming and going, feel a bit better one minute then headachey and off the next. Every time I eat I get stomach cramps and loose stool. Not positive for Covid (old tests tho).

It’s the stomach issues that are unusual, it’s like a low level flu bug but with a bad stomach too.

Anyone else have this?

It's been like this the last couple weeks, started with viral tonsillitis, then into tiredness, migraines, stomach pains, constipation one day then multiple poops the next. Aswell as sudden and severe nausea.

The heart race seems to go up after eating which is making me worried to even eat.

Sleeping 7/8 hours to feel like I've took a 15 min nap.

@Talkabtit101 I didn’t have a temp for long either just the first day when I was sweating and slept most of the time :( .. I had many symptoms tho..
hot sweats
head ache (first 2 days)
felt cold
sharp pains in every part of my body
aches
then loss of apetite
nausea
then sickness (for a day)
then sinicitis and I’m on second full day of taking antibiotics

i still feel very tired :( and I still don’t have an apetite I’m just eating because I no I need too .. this is day 12 now since it all started and I am better but not 100 percent things are still lingering it’s really depressed me now.

I forgot to mention I’m very bloated but I haven’t been to the toilet in a week maybe 😭😭 but iv eaten more these last 2 days so hoping I go today!

Yeah, I've had racing heart after eating. Seems it's harmless, just due to digestion.

Actually eating is the biggest challenge right now. Seems I've lost about10kg in a fortnight.

@ArabellaScott I got weighed today too and iv lost nearly a stone 😭 i Actualy needed to loose it but I swear I would rather have not lost it the way I have because I just want to wake up fresh as a daisy like I did 13 days ago lol i feel miserable don’t get me wrong I am a lot better but why am I sooo tired and my eyes hurt all the time but that’s Probly the sinuses how long as yours been going on now ? How you feeling ?? X

I kept going hot and cold too. Didn’t think I had a fever but pharmacist tested me and told me I did. He also said my heart rate was up which is common with fever.

I’m just thinking I don’t even have the flu symptoms now iv got sinusitis is this like another infection added on to the flu? So I could be poorly for a few more week ? Iv never had 2 viruses after each other I didn’t no it was possible :(

I didn’t have a raised temperature as such @Talkabtit101 either. I would just be sitting quietly on the sofa and suddenly come over with a sweeping heat, followed by copious perspiration. Then it would stop. Never had anything quite like that. In the morning after a nights sleep I would wake up soaking! Mainly the first few days. With luck yours will be more short lived. It did make me feel a bit “down” though.

Oh me! I had an increase in resting BPM. My Fitbit monitors it. it went up when I had the first sniffles, came back down then went up again and stayed raised when I had the second bout.

My very first symptoms were on 29/9. I now feel pretty well but my energy is low and I still have coughing bouts. So fed up.

I'm feeling a little better, thanks. Two weeks tomorrow. A bad virus can take a wee while to recover from, and yes a secondary infection is very unfair, but quite common! Hope you feel better very soon.

DS, dd and my sister have had this, it’s been lingering for almos5 3 weeks now. Dd had is first, still has a cough, sister had it since just before Halloween, still got a raging cough, feel8ng better in herself though. DS has had a cold the last week and the last few days developed a cough. Thankfully I think I’m past catching it as been near all 3 since the start and not caught it yet. As much as they cant help it, I am fed up with the sound of coughing…it’s like Mexican wave of coughing going on in here 🤪

I’m feeling a lot better this morning still woke up feeling a tad sick from deep in my stomach but (TMI) I haven’t been to the toilet in a week so I think that’s partly something to do with it 👍 my face is not hurting this morning and I don’t feel snotty! So the antibiotics are doing their job! I’m staying in for the forceable as I don’t want to catch any virus like this 1 again!! I need to give the house a big fetal today door handles while I have some energy ❤️ hope everyone gets better asap x

To ask if anyone’s urine is more yellow then usual because mine still is showing yellow on the tissue so I still must be dehydrated I haven’t drank as much water but I never really do so I must keep drinking !!

Remember coconut water or an electrolyte drink is good for rehydration. You can mix them up yourself, too.

Still feeling shattered a lot and cba to do anything my skin is all dry I still feel like iv got some sort of virus in my system but not many symptoms apart from feeling a tad sicky some times and very tired I think about cleaning and I sit down and put myself off thinking how much I can not be assed .. anyone else 2 week tomorrow it started!!

I'm no longer feeling terribly ill, but yes, washed out, weak and wobbly. That was two horrible weeks!

No I’m not today managed to get all cleaned up down stairs 😂 and haven’t felt sick at all today 🤧🙏🏻🙏🏻 hoping this is the end because that virus was horrible :( x

It took me 4 weeks to get over in the end and was diagnosed with the flu. Never had it before and never want it again!

I thought I was getting better but DH has brought a lurgy home and I now feel like death warmed up again 😫

Sore throat, stuffy nose (and a nosebleed), blocked ear, headache and I barely had any sleep - now for a full day of work outdoors - the joys of being self-employed!

I think I had the flu I didn’t feel normal until day 14 I woke up and stopped feeling sick it was so strange kind of like Covid when I had that .. maybe it was Covid who knows I did test but was negative ! I never want it again though I’m such a wimp when I’m poorly 😷 hope you all feel better asap xx

The nausea is starting to get me down too, period was early this month also and super heavy. The constant feeling cold, but then the moment I beat up I'm sweating and feel overwhelmed. It's day 15 here 😢

@Talkabtit101 strange you say that my period was early too and I don’t usually suffer with cramps but I am this month .. yes that’s how I felt I thought I felt ok to do something the moment I started I was all clammy and just wanted to sit down it will pass it can take a tad longer :( the nausea was the worse for me because it lingered for a while and it was making me worry hopefully your near the end ❤️
