For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Just looked at your profile and photos, es, for name inspiration. How about TheLadyOfShallot?

eternalstudent · 20/04/2008 20:43

I did think about nakedbrain but it sounds like I take myself very seriously. No such fear with OB.

stuffitllama · 20/04/2008 20:43

If OsmosisBanana is too long, how about OsmoNana?

eternalstudent · 20/04/2008 20:45

That's good actually Bero..... And very 10/10.... Hmmm....

Was that thread 'say something nice' your idea? Think I recognise you from somewhere - looks around suspiciously.

stuffitllama · 20/04/2008 20:45

stuffitllama · 20/04/2008 20:46

eternalstudent · 20/04/2008 20:47

I think it's gonna have to be OsmosisBanana. Will check again tomorrow when sober and see if it makes me recoil. Also there is a thread 'how did you choose your name' going on so I could expose stuffit for the loon genius she is

stuffitllama · 20/04/2008 20:47

bero did a much nicer follow up thread...

eternalstudent · 20/04/2008 20:47

LOLOLOOL. T'was. She means well!

berolina · 20/04/2008 20:48

No, I posted the 'I'm too sensitive for these 'say something nice' threads as I'm genuinely upset at not being mentioned' thread

eternalstudent · 20/04/2008 20:48

Mexican tho, not Brazilian... The mind boggles. I didn't have me bits out or nuffink.

eternalstudent · 20/04/2008 20:50

Oh yeah, I felt sad reading that. You wally!

We'll have to launch it again in a month and we can both big each other up. That'll show em.

my mum thinks all vergeside foraged goods must have dog wee on them, we used to have to go to very inaccessible places.

i have had smoothie thingy with strawberries frozen blueberries apple and orange. now i know that juices don't count for much because the pulp is removed, but where do we stand with pulverising?

home made burger and vast salad of lettuce cucumber tomato onion. made rhubarb crumble but haven't had any yet. pork pie for lunch (we were at a country fair-type event). 30 min run.

fishie · 20/04/2008 21:11

gosh i was a whole hour between beginning that and posting it. there is wailing and breadmaking here.

stuffitllama · 20/04/2008 21:11

well done fishie
yes i did wonder about the dog wee
i wouldn't put foraged dandelion in a salad even if it does look a bit like rocket
but then what else
boil it? soup?

love crumble, do mine with oats and seeds its lovely

stuffitllama · 20/04/2008 21:12
