For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

but I don't know who she is???

OsmosisBanana · 23/04/2008 21:13

Might change name to SirPostsAlot

pinkspottywellies · 23/04/2008 21:13

Yes Kerry. We sometimes play cowboys and indians or do daring helicopter rescues

IdrisTheDragon · 23/04/2008 21:14

Just saw that mention of above post is better not happening .

Have eaten quite a lot of F&V today. And so have DS and DD .

ahundredtimes · 23/04/2008 21:14

FMF - can't you do it together? You know that sharing thing, when you stand side by side and smile and hope you've got the best cakes?

OsmosisBanana · 23/04/2008 21:14

Wear a low cut top and mega bra. Be very friendly. Clutch her lovingly when she gets there. Might work. If you want to be in a soft porn film.

Fullmoonfiend · 23/04/2008 21:14

And why would she do another flyer when mine had already been distributed??

OsmosisBanana · 23/04/2008 21:16

Stopit. I bet she didn't know of your plans when she made hers.;

pinkspottywellies · 23/04/2008 21:17

NO Franny!! We were all saying how it was ok. The people who had it had some discomfort while they were pg then were FINE FINE FINE when they had the baby. I know you have a while to go but keep positive that it won't get really bad. Are you having trouble walking?

ahundredtimes · 23/04/2008 21:17

Because she erm, wanted to practice on her computer? Or because the teaching assistant is a half-wit drunk who rang you both up and forgot to tell you both?

Ring her up. Drag your trestle tables together.

Well Franny, it seems SILLY for you to sit there and not post and fret, when you have TooT and Idris here to talk to. And TooT has special getting up moves and EVERYTHING.

TooTicky · 23/04/2008 21:17

Yes but Franny, I was there, had the crutches, (still bloody got them ), but in actual fact I was okay without them and a lot of it is just down to you needing to do less and rest more, see? And resting is good, and what you need. You don't have to suddenly start doing nothing and feeling trapped - you just need to be selective about what you do.
And little things can make a big difference.
Oh, and decently springy shoes (my physio recommended good trainers).

Fullmoonfiend · 23/04/2008 21:18

You will have to learn how to sit with your legs together like a laydee, is all...

TooTicky · 23/04/2008 21:19

Fmf, whatever happens, your cake will be the best and we all love you and not her

zippitippitoes · 23/04/2008 21:20

toot id like a t shirt

phuckable physicist

Fullmoonfiend · 23/04/2008 21:20

I have ishoos...I'm not assertive and I like to be helpful. But I am also a closet control freak

pinkspottywellies · 23/04/2008 21:21

TooT tell us about the getting up manoeuvre and we can all practice in solidarity with Fra

FrannyandZooey · 23/04/2008 21:21

ah but resting isn't going to happen or be a good thing, is it
resting means me not working and being stuck in the house with ds, not able to move
and I am shit scared of it

most of the good things in my life revolve around me being active

ker pooof

all gone

Fullmoonfiend · 23/04/2008 21:21

I still use the getting up procedure - because now I am arthritic!

ahundredtimes · 23/04/2008 21:21

It's one of those things though isn't it. When you want everything to be perfect and lovely, and then the idea that it might not be, or that you won't be able to move is very frightening and you just rather it didn't happen and nobody ever mentioned crutches.

But. . .

you know.

FrannyandZooey · 23/04/2008 21:22

the cake thing is weird and insulting
I will try to concentrate on that instead

you should definitely do yours, don't cancel it

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 23/04/2008 21:23

YES YES YOU HAVE IT 100

everyone keeps saying "oh well it is only for a few weeks" NO NO NO I can't be in pain for a few weeks, I can't find it difficult to walk for a few weeks, everything has to be perfect

and there shouldn't be a but

OP posts:
TooTicky · 23/04/2008 21:23

Fullmoonfiend · 23/04/2008 21:24
