For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

what questions, pink, I can't see them?

TooTicky · 23/04/2008 13:27

Pink

It's a bike
The wonder of ebay!

TooTicky · 23/04/2008 13:28

Hello MrsC

Wow! I'm amazed! I've just been thinking about the May picnic and decided to look at trains. It only takes an hour, no changes. It'll be £18 which isn't bad and the day out will hopefully be cheap. What plans are there.

Oh god. Now I've just remembered the other thing I meant to ask. Am I invited? I've got TooT's paranoia!! But tell me if it's not paranoia but intuition. I'd rather know.

That.

pinkspottywellies · 23/04/2008 13:32

Quick question! I need to make a syrup but I've run out of caster sugar - can I use granulated or should I whizz it in the processor first?

TooTicky · 23/04/2008 13:32

Of course you're invited Pink. Everybody is.

TooTicky · 23/04/2008 13:33

Granulated should be fine - will just take slightly longer to melt.

pinkspottywellies · 23/04/2008 13:34

Thanks TooT. I'm making Nigella quadruple chocolate loaf cake again. I made one for my friend when she had dc3 the other week and they didn't even save me any!! I'm going to have some this time and give her the rest

TooTicky · 23/04/2008 13:35

Quadruple chocolate? The mind boggles. And how dare they not save you any!!

MrsCarrot · 23/04/2008 13:36

You've got Toot's paranoia!

Of course you are invited

as far as know there are no plans except for the date and that it is a picnic in the park so I imagine it will be cheap. I'm not sure if there will be weather alternatives.

OsmosisBanana · 23/04/2008 13:38

WHAT MAY PICNIC!!???!!! No-one tells me anything!

TooTicky · 23/04/2008 13:40

Who is an expert in 2 year old psychology? Anybody? Please?

MrsCarrot · 23/04/2008 13:45

I think it may have been discussed before you arrived Osmo, then we haven't mentioned it for a bit. I am hoping I will be up to it.

OsmosisBanana · 23/04/2008 13:46

There was talk of it about a month ago I think but nothing since then.

pinkspottywellies · 23/04/2008 13:55

What's up TooT?

TooTicky · 23/04/2008 13:58

Oh, dd2 has started throwing things at people and laughing about it, and tipping out toys which have just been tidied up, general naughtiness for fun - I know it's just reaction testing but I don't know what to do. Don't want dp to do too much damage with shouting and threats. Need to know about the unconditional approach I suppose.

TooTicky · 23/04/2008 14:02

Oh, and I have the opportunity to expose her to chickenpox and don't know if I should. I know it's supposed to be better to get it over with early, but I'd feel mean

Tatties · 23/04/2008 14:28

TooT I don't know if I have any advice, but ds has also been doing lots of naughty high-spirited things recently, seemingly just to wind me up. It is often when I am not giving him 100% of my attention so if I can I try to stay calm about the "naughty" thing, talk about why he shouldn't do it, and then move swiftly on to doing something nice with him I hope that the message will sink in eventually...

I wouldn't expose to chickenpox on purpose, but then I'm a bit weird about that kind of thing and want to avoid ANY illness if I can help it

Boco · 23/04/2008 14:41

I missed the May meet up discussions - where is it - is there a plan?

How is Franny's mojo?

I've lost my mooncup and have spent all afternoon looking for it when i should have done working. I CANNOT afford to buy another one, it's an absolute mystery. And looking for things that aren't there makes me very cross.

S1ur · 23/04/2008 14:49

I want a mooncup. I have mooncup envy. What make do you all recommend?

I have had a fab fruit day but in every other way utter pile of wank. Well, mainly featuring round a sodding dress. I will be pleading for help later on in a thread, but have to finish spring cleaning for effing florist.

Gah. I'm mucho pissed offo.

Toot. My ds (19m) is at that phase too, its a hard in betweeny sort of phase to parent isn't it? Too young to reason with and discuss things, but old enough to recognise and challenge ways of behaving appropriately. I'm currently going with the coming down on the throwing thigs at people that could hurt and playing lots of appropriate throwing games when I can.

Boco · 23/04/2008 14:52

Just the mooncup type Slur. Made by mooncup. Bodykind usually do the best deal.

S1ur · 23/04/2008 14:56

Clearly showing ignorance of all things mooncup related. I assumed there were many varieties of mooncup, Aldi's own brand shove it mooncup, Harvey Nicks exclusive mooncups for it girls, Virgin's pure white innocent range of mooncups, Ann summers' all singing all dancing mooncup...

Fullmoonfiend · 23/04/2008 15:09

Amsniggering quietly at the idea of an Anne Summers mooncup.
Is there a gap in the market for a vibrating one do we think?

PMSL, Anne Summers do a, erm, 'toy' which attatches to your mp3 so you can vibrate along with your James Blunt or whatever....

pinkspottywellies · 23/04/2008 16:01

Urgh. Vibrating Mooncup. Not a pleasant thought. It would make you numb after a while, no?

Towards the end of May Boco. Near Franny I think. Franny?? Come and organise us please!!

IdrisTheDragon · 23/04/2008 16:08

at the Ann Summers toy to attach to your mp3. The mind (or possibly something else ) boggles...
