For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Toot - after seeing some children who have got miserably ill with chicken pox I would never expose on purpose. LTH's son got so ill he had to go to hospital I think, they can get infected. I'm sure it's rare but still.

Boco - I reckon dcs have probably got it, can they reach it?

ladywombling · 23/04/2008 16:43

Hello All,

Lol at Slurs Mooncup envy/vibrating mooncup, can anyone remind me, why are they good to have?

TooT, re 2 year olds, just ignore, tidy up and move on, unless it is hurting someone. I think that distraction/occupation is the best deterrent, but I often find it hard to remember to do it, whn I am in the thick of it, IYKWIM. I started to do it again with DD this week, and have had some good results. Do you think that might work?

Nice to see you Mrs C, and all of you lovely fruity peeps.

pinkspottywellies · 23/04/2008 16:49

DD has been exposed to chicken pox about 5 times! They're infectious before the spots come out aren't they? So I didn't know til it was too late but she hasn't had them yet.

I'm still impressed at Boco's dp's mooncup description, and indeed sales pitch, to his mum

Fullmoonfiend · 23/04/2008 17:54

I have ad a very un10/10 dinner but DH cooked it while i was playing on allotment so cannot complain...

Wombling, you need a mooncup because they are very comfy and convenient (when you get used to htem), you don't get that 'draggy' feeling, IFKWIM and MOST importantly, you won't be filling up landfill sites with smeggy tampons - or paying VAT for the privilege!

UnderRated · 23/04/2008 18:27

[env] @ Osmosis's food.

PSW - can you share the recipe for the cake. I may have to make it for a "friend" Which book is it in?

Lol @ You can buy them online and maybe in Boots. I just put mine away I hope you'll be as fascinated by the contents of yours as I am with mine. It makes pretty patterns if you empty it in the toilet.

Toot - your DD sounds like my DS. I think it is just a 2 yr old thing. It's quite wearing but if I can cross, it only upsets me and doesn't stop him doing it. I insist that he 'helps' tidy it up after a while.

Sending happy vibes Franny's way. And for whoever else needs them.

Fullmoonfiend · 23/04/2008 18:49

TooT, even though I failed you in the squash seeds saga, can I be cheeky and ask if you have any peas and/or sweet peas spare?

I planted some peas but they turned to mush - turned out the seeds i used were 3 years out of date
I have mange touts but really want some peas.
Also have run out of sweet pea seeds (and run out of cash...)

TooTicky · 23/04/2008 19:17

Of course fmf - just email me your address. I have kelvedon wonder peas

MrsC - yes, I am uneasy about deliberate exposure. It seems so unfair and underhand. Although I suppose people do do it for a reason and childhood illnesses do strengthen immunity. Maybe I'll ring Chris.

Hello to everybody.

Fullmoonfiend · 23/04/2008 19:17

love you!!!

lullabyloo · 23/04/2008 19:20

Toot..everyone in ds's nursery class got it,but not ds!
He just gets everything else...

lullabyloo · 23/04/2008 19:22

Boden sent me a packet of carrot seeds

UnderRated · 23/04/2008 19:29

Lully has boden carrots? Wow!

zippitippitoes · 23/04/2008 19:31

hello everyone

you are still talking about monncups

Fullmoonfiend · 23/04/2008 19:33

Ah, I expect the Boden carrots will not be just plain orange, oh dear me no. They will have a hotpotch design on them and will obviously taste far superior to normal working class carrots...

ahundredtimes · 23/04/2008 19:34

I am worried about Franny's mojo.

How can we get it back? Where is it? Is it something to do with your back?

What about one of those balls none of you can find in your sheds/loft - might that get her mojo back?

ahundredtimes · 23/04/2008 19:40

FMF - you are good on Mojo. Find it.

Fullmoonfiend · 23/04/2008 19:41

SIR! YES SIR!!!

MrsCarrot · 23/04/2008 19:42

I think Franny has the thirty week glum.

You have come so far, but still have so long to go, or so it seems. We forget that in a few weeks it will be a countdown and this is the time to do superindulgent stuff while you can do it without huffing.

A time for cakes, Franoir, and massage and cinema and languid trips to museums and galleries.

Fullmoonfiend · 23/04/2008 19:53

Frannnnny, look who's here to see you

here

look, funny!

look, yummy!

look! You're Organic!

look! your own tea shop

Look! Spiritual home...

pinkspottywellies · 23/04/2008 19:55

Franny - if you're about, you could start a thread asking to borrow a ball. Someone will have one even though us rubbish veggers can't find ours!

FrannyandZooey · 23/04/2008 20:08
