For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

See, even the phrase 'fungal friends' shows how very very wrong mushrooms are. Wrong. Ban them I say.

Gosh you can't mention goats without getting all pornographic can you - eating hairy butts. It doesn't surprise me at all that you'd be the type to use mushrooms.

Fullmoonfiend · 22/04/2008 10:11

MrsC! I was about to judge you for having experience of a hariy butt in the mouth...

Boco, not even beautiful field mushrooms gently fried in butter with a splash f cream, garlic and lots of pepper and fresh parsley...?

Or topped with a mix of breadcrumbs, stilton and shallots and grilled?

Fullmoonfiend · 22/04/2008 10:52

I have to go for my last day at college now (Yay!!)

Farewell lunch and all.

Feel free to do more sharing in my absence

TooTicky · 22/04/2008 12:59

Fmf, I will do sharing with you.
When you are here, that is.

I had a wholesome evening with my boys yesterday. Dd1 was at theatre group, dd2 slept and the boys and I played chess and made raisin pancakes and read stories.

Dd1 needs a convincing cockney accent by next Monday for her desired part in a play.

TooTicky · 22/04/2008 13:41

I am slightly in shock because I started a thread and there are lots of people with big names talking on it. I daren't go back in case I kill it.

MrsCarrot · 22/04/2008 13:48

Big names?

Be brave, Toot, you can take it.

stuffitllama · 22/04/2008 14:02

Boco · 22/04/2008 15:45

Lol Toot, you got attitood.
Not only did you start a thread with big names on, it has 'wtf' in the title, and accuses said big names of having no life and trying to impress! like your style.

TooTicky · 22/04/2008 18:09

I am eating brown basmati rice with cauli, carrot, onion and aduki bean, tomato and garlic doodah. It is very nice.
There is chocolate and banana cake in the oven trying to escape from the tins.

UnderRated · 22/04/2008 18:17

Hope Franny feels much better very soon and that it is nothing too serious.

How is everyone else?

I'm having one of those days where I feel insanely irritated by everything for no apparent reason.

I got my allotment this morning - it is very small but has some chives in it. Nothing else yet.

UnderRated · 22/04/2008 18:18

Toot, your dinner is making me hungry.

Boco · 22/04/2008 18:21

Mostly I am just concentrating very hard on suppressing the rising panic about tomorrow's driving lesson. Haven't had one for 2 weeks and last time is when i made loads of mistakes and then cried. I don't want to go. I can't do it. It's too hard.

UnderRated · 22/04/2008 18:27

Don't panic, Boco. Sometimes having a break means you are better than you remember. You might surprise yourself.

zippitippitoes · 22/04/2008 18:28

lovely to have an allotment i think what else are you going to grow

i just have my adopted garden

university challenge is on bbc2 at 8 oclock

it clashes with football

but only liverpool and chelsea

but it isd the champions league

proper match tomorrow

UnderRated · 22/04/2008 18:28

I love mushrooms btw. Although, last week I realised that the underside of a Portobello looks a lot like wet eyelashes and I haven't been able to eat one since.

UnderRated · 22/04/2008 18:30

Want to grow tomatoes and have basil seedlings. The woman at the garden said there are some seeds in the shed, so I'll have a look at what they've got. I think beans and radishes would be good. And lettuces too. I could get very carried away!

Enjoy Uni Challenge

IdrisTheDragon · 22/04/2008 18:31

DS and DD kept eating fruit this afternoon . Raspberries and pears.

I am strssed as I didn't hear the phone and it was the person in charge of the marking I do and by the time I listened to the message it was after 5:30 and so she had left.

She asked me to call her, but normally emails about everything so why is she asking me to call? Am now deciding she is going to say I am no good at marking and will need to stop. Bother bother.

stuffitllama · 22/04/2008 18:33

ur that's poetic
boco don't worry.. what do you find is particularly sticky for you
