For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I have managed scromelette packed with spinach, tomatoes, mushroom and peas, a kiwi fruit, grapes and a peanut butter sarnie and fruit juice.

Asparagus, mushrooms and green beans with dinner.

Yay! 10!

stuffitllama · 21/04/2008 17:39

stuffitllama · 21/04/2008 17:43

just wondering whether to give fmf a badge for scromelette consumption
I may be overreaching my status

Boco · 21/04/2008 17:43

Oh my goodness! How exciting - are you in UK now? Gosh that is a big move - have you spent time there before? Do you know people there? I want to ask you lots of questions like what does you dh do, but realise that not everyone is a compulsive sharer so feel free to ignore. Can we come and visit?

stuffitllama · 21/04/2008 17:43

fmf that was a large rofl
i'm still experiencing it!

IdrisTheDragon · 21/04/2008 17:44

stuffitllama · 21/04/2008 17:46

I've never managed that idris
was it by chance

S1ur · 21/04/2008 17:48

Well done Idris. Red peppers are nicely versitile as well.
I find that dd will occasnionally eat all sorts with butter on that is prefixed by the word butter.

And yes do share more details Stuffit.

Boco · 21/04/2008 17:49

Go on Stuffit, it's only us here, and we won't tell anyone...

IdrisTheDragon · 21/04/2008 17:49

I think it was DH who initiated the red pepper like .

stuffitllama · 21/04/2008 17:49

i sounded sour -- i don't mean that
people are terribly friendly to newcomers and so that was mean of me
please forgive me I'm nice really
(I'm always nice to newcomers and for all i know they spend the rest of their postings avoiding me!)

S1ur · 21/04/2008 17:50

I don't know but I imagine that it would be very different if you were going as a company/university placement affair rather than setting out on your own.

IdrisTheDragon · 21/04/2008 17:50

I never tell anyone anything .

stuffitllama · 21/04/2008 17:51

well done dh they are so good for you

stuffitllama · 21/04/2008 17:51

peppers not dh's

erk

Boco · 21/04/2008 17:51

Idris, have you reached enlightenment?

stuffitllama · 21/04/2008 17:52
