For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Anyone else want to venture up north or do Avi, Tatties and I have to eat enough cake for all of you?

pinkspottywellies · 15/04/2008 21:32

I might be able to venture Northwards. Ooh I might be able to do both meetups. I might visit TooT as well to do a full house and see everyone 10/10 Bingo!!

eternalstudent · 15/04/2008 21:51

Oh god - I put an apostrophe in ponchos. I do know better UR honestly - I got carried away.

Have been to healthy veggie Thali caf place for dinner. Prob 10 / 10 just in the one meal. Also, melon, toms, grapes.

BBBee · 15/04/2008 21:52

oh pink you can be like our ambassador? or harold macmillan? or the olympic torch???

I have DS friend coming round tomorrow who has asd. It means we have to make the house very clean as he doesn't like dirt (not good if coming to my house) and also we have to buy sainsburys own brand white bread, some liver sausage paste and some hula hoops.

It is all rather exciting, but not 10/10

ladywombling · 15/04/2008 21:59

Hello all,

Ohh, meet ups, I'd love to do both/all if possible. Will consult diary and DH

Have been rubbish on F&V front dried fruit with cereal (dates, raisins, pineapple) lentil dahl, rice and potato and pea curry. Pear. Not even 5 , crap.

lullabyloo · 15/04/2008 21:59
