For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Franny I have that really crazy top for you - would you like it? It is bonkers. It has polar bears and husky dogs on and general icy tundra, looks like it's been drawn by an insane person. I've not worn it and I'm not infectious so you don't have to boil it or anything. It's floaty and smocky. (am I selling this at all well?) Will post it with the life aquatic if you like.

Fullmoonfiend · 11/04/2008 18:31

it's bacterial innit! Or fungal!

TigerFeet · 11/04/2008 18:31

Franny, could you wear a sleeveless tunicy floaty pretty top with a long sleeved tshirt underneath? Or will the microclimate not allow?

Bollocks, I have just dripped tomato sauce from my pizza down the white bit of my top . That'll teach me to take the piss out of Boco.

It took me an hour to say it to dp.

I'm sorry Boco. Consider the matter dropped...

Boco · 11/04/2008 18:34

So, the top, it's actually quite exciting. And it would have been expensive too. I'll send it, you can give it to charity if you don't want it - I'll never know or mind.

FrannyandZooey · 11/04/2008 18:35

[fear]

I am sure someone would love it
I am not sure if the someone is me

Boco · 11/04/2008 18:36

but, you could wear it on warm days around the house when you know no one is going to visit? It's cool, it's airy, it's billowing.

FrannyandZooey · 11/04/2008 18:37

sorry Boco

I think it might possibly be the last straw for long suffering dp
he does put up with silly hats and stripy socks quite a lot already
however he was rude to me this morning so perhaps it could be a punishment?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 11/04/2008 18:39

was marvellous

am going to post compulsively until someone stops me

Punishment by tundra-wear. He might like the swooping eagle?

FrannyandZooey · 11/04/2008 18:40

sorry you have some unmentionable disease boco

trying to thionk what it could be but i guess if it took a whole school of doctors to half diangose there isnt much point trying to work it out

surprisingly i havent spent any of my decade or so in higher education training in medicine tho i di d consider it briefly a few years ago

there isnt much i havent considered

i just picked dd2 up from work lent her 150 quid and then picked up dgs well bought some wine milk and fruit in tescos

and then picked up dgs and he was sreaming hystericaly about his shoes having been put on in the wrong order so i wanted the left one first hysterical sobb about to throw up kind of racket

which i have grown out of enjpying

and then we drove past a fair on the common and i thought oh no we are going to have hysterics aboiut that

so yep sure enough chanmged with hardly a missed beat from i wanted the left one to i didnt want a fiar to be open gulping sobs mum ididnt want a fair to be open chokes i dint want a fair open

by which time dd2 and i could hardly stifle our mirth any longer

dd2 its alright ds i am not going t0o make ypu go to the fair

well i think you get the idea

zippitippitoes · 11/04/2008 18:44
