For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

i want to get some more gardening jobs

i need to be able to use a chainsaw really

ds has decided to become a plumber....he has been doing some work for a guy he knows who is a plumber and this guy is taking him to the college today to apply for a plumbing course and says he will emply him

stuffitllama · 11/04/2008 08:27

hi UR hi zippi one banana
UR what's wrong with your eight? I had zero yesterday, back on the carrots today

eternalstudent · 11/04/2008 08:57

Where do you live Zip? DH is doing his course at Merrist Wood in Guildford - they do all sorts of courses there, countryside management, etc etc. I reckon there would def be some cross over from horticulture - plant bio, diseases etc.

ladywombling · 11/04/2008 09:01

Hello all,

Franny the birthday boy souns lovely, great pics too! is my ds 1st birthday today! he as a bit bemused by his sister singing happy birthday to him at b/fast, was v cute

BBBee · 11/04/2008 09:37

hapy birthday baby womble.

FZ - good boat name - he thinks up good names I think.

muesli (which I have decided is 1)
banana

I am going out tonight with mooncup friend. Last time I went out with her and her friends shew was asking me about mooncups and I held up a glass of red wine and said "it is rather like that really - only a bit smaller" so they must really be looking forward to seeing me.

We might go to a turkish restaurant where there is a real live belly dancer. IT is naff but in a fun way rather than a cheesy way.

I WILL get to 10 today!

Oh franny - what maternity stuff are you desperate for?

BBBee · 11/04/2008 09:38

oh and congrats lady womble for the past year - I think all birthdays need a bit of mother recognition.

stuffitllama · 11/04/2008 09:41

Happy Birthday to baby womble!

lullabyloo · 11/04/2008 10:17

Happy Happy Birthday little wombling one

Fullmoonfiend · 11/04/2008 11:58

oh more celebrating! Hope wee womble has a spiffing day, and congrats

Can anyone help me work out why I appear to have missed a period (Think it's about 2 weeks) when
a) Deffo not pg (it is impossible, surely, 3 years after dh had snip. beside no other symptoms)
b) normally pretty regular
c) not underweight (5ft 5, 8stone 4lbs)

I suppose I am stressed but then, I'm always stressed . How stressed do you have to be to miss a period???

Anyone know any other reason for non-appearance of period?

Ooh a Happy Friday, that would be nice

A lemon tree Avi! That's a really lovely present.

Franny pics are gorgeous as usual, happy birthday to little Wombling too

FMF didn't you miss a period a while back? It can just happen sometimes I think.

Fullmoonfiend · 11/04/2008 13:14

oh dear gods, that's true, i forgot. I was late and I had 'symptoms'

You don't think I'm pre-menopausal do you???

happy birthday to small wombling

fmf you dont weigh much do you if i weighed that i would be disappearing im sure

it is probably just one of those things

i find stress does make a big difference

i would expect to be menopausal tho

but all my life i have had missed periods

the more you think about it the longer they seem to take to appear

like my preganancy scare not so long ago mine have just gone back to normal since..gross but normal

stuffitllama · 11/04/2008 14:41
