Ah yes a GOONER babe through and through
Am a silent Milton Keynes Dons suporter too, as my team Wimbledon merged with them a few years back.
Spent most of the early 90's on the North Bank....

gerbrajess · 04/05/2008 00:49

Ah Purplone, Wimbledon - my friend went travelling for a loooong time - and when she got to cambodia she found...they were all WIMBLEDON fans - how mad is that? Cross my heart true though...

I've looked on facebook to see if i've been messaged / poked / whatever (no idea how it works) - but all looks quiet so as i can't type properly much for longer I'm going to take myself off to bed!

Hope you're okay though PO?

thanks to all for taking me under their wings and getting me set up on facebook (it will be about 2 months before I can approach it without feeling scared!)

Will keep posting on here though, cos it's been a brilliant thread for me and I wouldn't give it up for anything...

Not caught up with thread yet. Will read it later. Just posting this because I need an unbiased opinion.

Woke up to this morning's text from xp 'li have no contact with my kids u r sad'. It's a headfuck or is it just me?

Kids are lurking so will check back later.

Stripteasle · 04/05/2008 08:47

Jelli- just to say its not you, don't worry, its most definately him, the arse.

Stripteasle · 04/05/2008 08:50

Does he like to take no responsibility for his own actions, and wallow in self-pity by any chance?
It was him who texted you about not seeing them this weekend anyway wasn't it.

jellibabe · 04/05/2008 14:23

My God Stripteasle you've met him haven't you?

gerbrajess · 04/05/2008 17:32

Hello all - how is everyone today?
After the mother of all hangovers we did a wet and bracing cliff walk today so feel a lot better now.

Jellibabe - he's messing with your head from the sounds of that text?!

We're going out for the evening so may pop back later - apart from the rain and the hangover it's been a lovely day.

gerbrajess · 05/05/2008 00:42

Hello 2sugars - have we met?

2sugars · 05/05/2008 00:48

Hiya, no we haven't yet!

Have been watching this thread with interest though. I'm an addict to - well, anything you can be addicted to really, apart from drugs.

Had a sad sorry state 3 years ago where I stopped drinking suddenly and had a fit, which meant me relinquishing my DL.

Have gone through a stony phase since.

gerbrajess · 05/05/2008 00:55

2sugars - forgive me - I'm drunk - what is DL - please don't tell me it's DS / DD / DC ??????

2sugars · 05/05/2008 01:15

Just wondering what my h is up to, wanting a cigarette a lot, wondering why I relinquished my sobriety by having a drink so easily ...

How about you?

gerbrajess · 05/05/2008 01:23

back in a minute x

kokeshi · 05/05/2008 02:03

Gerbra, stay away from those horror movies missus! We're looking for you on FB by the way. Don't worry about what happened before, put it behind you.

Hello 2sugars, welcome to the thread. I recognise your name, have we talked before?

Hope everyone is well, I'll check in again tomorrow at a decent hour

gerbrajess · 05/05/2008 12:11

Morning all!
2sugars - was nice to meet you last night, hope you're doing okay today...
Hi Kokeshi . I made a decision to stay off FB for the time being - for as long as I still have hazy moments from drinking, I don't want that horrid feeling when you wake up and go 'god, what did i do...', the last thing i want to be is drunk in charge of is other people's RLs...hope that doesn't sound over-dramatic...

How is everyone today? We had a very late night last night but a good chat about everything and somehow forgot i'd agreed to help mum in the garden / painting doors today ...she's going to be here any minute...

Sillytilly i do live by the sea (bournemouth) - it's lovely! Did a stunning walk yesterday but we all got totally drenched...

Will check in later...
gerbra xx

kokeshi · 05/05/2008 12:21

Hi Gerbra, yeah, I get where you're coming from. That's fine, but know that you're welcome whenever you decide to come back! Where are the other thread facebookers? Anyone fancy joining?

Gerbra, I was down in Bournemouth last year, it's lovely! I was doing some training in LINK - the charity for deafened adults - and stayed in the Quality hotel on the front!

Oh I loved walking along the pier and getting the traditional sweeties, and the fish supper that the seagulls were after. Happy memories! Maybe we passed each other, you never know.

How's everyone else doing? Anything planned for the bank holiday?

BrassicMonkey · 05/05/2008 15:04

Just popping in quickly to give Gerbra a virtual hug.

I know that "ohhhhh SHIT" morning after feeling well. Poor you. Please don't beat yourself up about it. I bet we've all done lots worse - I know I have

Get yourself back on FB when you're ready, but in the meantime don't worry. I shouldn't think many people even saw the post. It was gone by the time I looked the following morning.

Hi to everyone else

I'll be back properly tomorrow.
