Whoops - gave into one of the dcs homemade biscuits as I was feeling so HUNGRY - didn't eat them fresh out of the oven yesterday though ... but did well otherwise today - well done everybody!

trulymadlydeeply · 08/04/2008 20:29

I'm VERY impressed with us all.

Keep up the good work, everyone. Tomorrow we'll be half way to Friday

notnowbernard · 08/04/2008 20:34

Good going , everyone

cornflakes for breakfast
steak and mushroom pie with chips and peas for lunch
apple for pm snack
tuna mayo pitta and bowl of grapes for tea
might have a kiwi in a minute

I weigh 10st 2

Would like to be 9st 7, I think

Will aim for a weekly weigh-in

ingles2 · 08/04/2008 20:37

Not a bad afternoon....
Had an apple
and homemade egg fried rice with the kids..
Did have 4 marshmallows but am not worrying too much because If I think about what I would have eaten (small cough..drunk) I'm doing great..
AND haven't been tempted to have wine..

Keep up the good work everyone our backsides are getting smaller!

me23 · 08/04/2008 20:45

I forgot to sign in yersterday! but I have been good. I weigh 11st 2, would like to be 2 stone lighter. Today I had porridge, pasta with tomato sauce for lunch and toast for dinner, also had a cup of highlight chocolate!

jennster · 08/04/2008 20:47

Oh BUGGER. Day 4 of DD's vomiting. Haven't left the house. She is skin and bones, but seems to be getting better, so I was doing fine until dh bought some gingernut biscuits for her. I've had 3 and 2 glasses of wine.

Anyway

breakfast; muesli with skimmed milk

lunch; home made minestrone soup (very healthy with no cheese but a breadroll and butter)

dinner; bean and lentil 'shepherd's pie' with brocolli

sins; 3 biscuits and wine

Drinks one very large mug of tea (skim milk) and water.

jennster · 08/04/2008 21:00

Oh and a pear and a handful of nuts

jennster · 08/04/2008 21:01

Doesn't it make you think when you actually write it all down. No wonder I'm not losing weight.

FunkyGlassSocks · 08/04/2008 21:08

I'm not sure I can do this. I just ate a whole Easter egg. . How can I stopp craving sweet stuff at night?

liahgen · 08/04/2008 21:46

me too. just had - (since 6pm)

2 mini creme eggs, given by "helpful" teen
half muffin
half shortbread

I got through thr whole day. I feel stuffed,

Aggghhhh

Smithagain · 08/04/2008 21:52

It's so reassuring to see everyone else's "confessions". When I cram the snacks in like they're going out of fashion I always feel like I'm the only one that does it

Today has been good. Bought the DDs a four-pack of gingerbread men, but managed not to have one myself. I did take a bite off DD2's when she wasn't looking, then felt thoroughly ashamed when she looked at it, clearly confused about how it had got smaller while she was on the swings ...

liahgen · 08/04/2008 21:58

pmsl smith.

midnightexpress · 08/04/2008 22:05

Funkyglasssocks, could you try something like natural yogurt (I know, I know, bear with me), with a little bit of honey? I had that after dinner tonight, with a bit of lemon juice squeezed in, and it's kept the sweet cravings away all evening.

Admittedly, it's not quite the same as an easter egg, but it did do the trick.

The banana loaf is still there. This is a record. I made it on Friday.

Oh. DP tells me he's eaten it. .

ingles2 · 08/04/2008 22:09

I just tried one of those fat free "chocolate" mousses.... it was disgusting and I still ate it!
Don't go there

snorkle · 08/04/2008 22:27

Been quite good today, but Tesco have just delivered loads of yummy stuff and I MUST go to bed now before I start helping myself.

Meandmyjoe · 09/04/2008 07:19

Ohhh dear, i appear to be joining this thread a little late! I want to loose about a stone and half. DS Christening in August, he will be a year old and I really don't want to look like I'm still pregnant! To be fair, my tummy is OK but my legs and hips are a different matter! Please can I join?!!!

FunkyGlassSocks · 09/04/2008 08:17

Hi Meandmyjoe (saw you on your thread the other day) - welcome.

I'm going to start again today and see last night as a little blip. I weighed myself again and am still heavier than I want to be so that is my motivation...

ingles2 · 09/04/2008 08:43

Morning All...
Just wanted to say, I feel great this morning and I might be imagining this but I could swear my fat roll is a little smaller today..
Gonna be hard now because my mum is coming to stay today and as we don't see her very often, we usually have lots of treats.
Anyway, keep going everyone we're doing really well.... x

QuintessentialShadows · 09/04/2008 09:30

Morning all!
I am very pleased with myself too!
I have not indulged at all yesterday and only had a prune youghurt for supper. Today I reduced to only one slice of wholemeal bread and half a glass of apple juice.

Glad to see we are doing good.

Welcome to all newcomers!

Funkyglasssocks and liahgen!
Do not despair, tomorrow is yet another day.

When you get sweet craving at night, try a glass of fruit juice or some fruit. It is sugar, but "different" sugar so you may fool your body to think it is getting the chocolatey sugar!

Ingles that gives me hope - I feel ropey this morning. Migraine zigzags and completely washed out. Am telling myself it's the rubbish leaving my system rather than the biscuit barrel calling me.

I'm going to eat a breadstick.

Huzzah.

ingles2 · 09/04/2008 10:20

I felt really ropey yesterday Midnight...I had an awful headache too... All gone today so hopefully you'll feel better soon.
I also didn't have that 4pm, knackered, desperate for chocolate thing that I have every day. Which is great...

MegBusset · 09/04/2008 10:41

I felt crappy yesterday, too. Today I feel alright though.

So far: bran flakes, fruit tea, fat-free cappuccino, satsuma.

Tickle · 09/04/2008 12:36

Just skimmed the thread, and it looks like everyone is doing really well! I'm polishing my halo Is everyone else now completely starving for normal mealtimes??

I noticed the dog was also looking a bit pudgey so the last 2 evenings I have taken her for a long and energetic walk - yoga tonight too.

We had chocolate pudding after dinner last night, and I had a small portion, but don't feel too - it's the secret eating I want to stop.

Oh, and I told DH yesterday, so he is joining in, and he got up at 6 this morning to go winter swimming in the sea

trulymadlydeeply · 09/04/2008 13:34

I'm amazed at my will power when I've got to be open about my secret eating iykwim .

Normally I wouldn't have managed half a day, let alone 2!! Am I imagining that my skin is already dewy-soft and zit-free?! Yes I am - bit it must be having SOME effect!

Keep up the good work, everyone.
