Okay.....11 stone 6 at 5 feet 6.

Breakfast:One BIG bowl of porridge
One biscuit

Lunch: One cheese salad sandwich
One muller rice

Dinner: Pasta with tomatoes, tinned sardines and peas, grapes

Snack just now: handful of nuts

Not too bad so far..

MegBusset · 07/04/2008 21:15

Dinner was veggie stir-fry and a Diet Coke (very virtuous). I'm not changing my main meals, either -- we have a reasonably healthy (and veggie) diet most of the time. It's the endless squares of Dairy Milk that have got to go...

MegBusset · 07/04/2008 21:16

Ingles: got a book? DVD? Jigsaw?

Failing that, why not have a nice long bath?

ingles2 · 07/04/2008 21:19

Thanks Meg,...I'm fine really, just sulking a little due to lack of chocolate
Didn't realise I was a comfort/boredom eater until now though

squigglywig · 07/04/2008 21:48

I have been for a long walk today and eaten no snacks. Am bloody starving now though.

I know it will be worth it in the end, but it's just so DULL.

Great to see so many people on the thread. Congratulations on completing our first day!!

QuintessentialShadows · 07/04/2008 21:56

We are doing great!
I had an apple for "antibiotics" snack. Day nearly over now!

OP posts:
offersinwot · 07/04/2008 21:59

Do you mind if I join in? I've had my weight creep up on me and I had a real fright seeing what I am now......so yes please
I find I binge eat when I'm knackered and then feel obliged to eat a meal with DH when he gets home.

liahgen · 07/04/2008 22:05

well i'm off the bloody wagon already

made the mistake of going food shopping late in the day.

We had roast chicken pieces, then large piece shortbread, then half a choc muffin.

I WILL get back on track tomorrow, not gonna beat myself up about it.
Bought loads nice muller yoghurts.

QuintessentialShadows · 07/04/2008 22:26

Liaghen, tomorrow is another day!

Offersinwat, welcome. I see what you mean, with the childrens meal times, and other meal times, food is sort of on my mind all the time. It is hard to not join in all the meals!

Ok, so I had the two choc hobnobs last night . But that was one treaty sack over the day rather than about 4 so not a bad first day.

DD had NO chocolate or biscuits

Today I've had my breakfast and will try and have grapes this morning if I'm hungry.

PuppyDogTails · 08/04/2008 08:37

One good day under my belt

Got a busy day today so hopefully I won't have time to think about food.

It's DS's first settling in day at nursery, wish me luck...

liahgen · 08/04/2008 08:39

I will not eat crap, I will not eat crap, I will not eat crap.

Morning all, have had my coffee, will have granola in a min.

Had lovely fresh orange last night instead of the bowl of cereal I really wanted. Takea a while to peel so by the time you've done all that, craving has passed.

2nd day, here we come.

ingles2 · 08/04/2008 09:10

So I did't have any wine or chocolate last night and this mornig I feel DREADFUL! I'm so sluggish...urgh

MegBusset · 08/04/2008 10:24

Today so far: bowl of Shreddies, fruit tea, skinny decaf cappuccino. I resisted having any wine last night

trulymadlydeeply · 08/04/2008 10:49

Just had half a "pain au raisin", but that's the only unhealthy snack I've had since yesterday morning, whereas nrmally I'd have eaten half my body weight in cake, chocolate and crisps.

I think beating the boredom is the key ...

Have a good day, everyone!

midnightexpress · 08/04/2008 11:41

OK, so we're cutting out sweet stuff, right?

I had sausage and chips (and peas, she says pathetically) for dinner last night . With a low fat yogurt to follow. No wine. No after-the-children-have-gone-to-bed sweet thing.

Saintly breakfast, about to have soup for lunch and have spent morning in town resisting all temptation.

Puppydogtails, hope the settling in went well. We have the same for ds2 next week (and then moving house on Friday, poor mite).

Keep up the good work all.

ingles2 · 08/04/2008 13:59

OMG!!! I'm enormous!
Have spent the morning in slouchy stuff, (like most days!) and am going shopping. Went upstairs to get dressed, looked at 20 pairs of jeans in wardrobe and decided on a pair I wore all last summer.
I can't get them on!
and I'm not talking lie down and squeeze I'm talking nowhere near! My rear view is getting gigantic...
Good job I've only eaten
a plum
a banana
and a jacket potato with cheese today...
I'm gutted!

QuintessentialShadows · 08/04/2008 14:15

Ingles, if you are sluggish, it is probably your body suddenly working very hard to get rid of waste products. Do NOT give in. Drink plenty of water!

Well done all!

MegBusset · 08/04/2008 17:20

Lunch: cheese and pickle roll, slim-a-soup. Snacks: a couple of rice cakes, raisins, grapes. I have a headache but am looking forward to carbtastic tea of jacket potato and beans.

FunkyGlassSocks · 08/04/2008 17:23

I have had a homemade muffin bought over my a friend today . It was lovely

That has been my only snack though....

snottyshoulders · 08/04/2008 17:29

PLease please please can I join??!! Have my wedding in July and tried on my dress that I bought before Easter, and it's VERY tight!! WOuld like to lose a stone by July please

Boredom is my enemy, also on my own for two nights a week and am easily tempted into scoff chocolate in the evenings......I will now eat chewing gum and sit on Mumsnet and try and use that dusty step machine that is still looking very new and unused even though it's bloody 3 months old.

janeite · 08/04/2008 17:40

I've been much better today that I was yesterday, hence the reason for not posting yesterday! Yesterday I had chips and two biscuits; everything else was vegetable or fruit based. Today I've had: porridge, 2 pears, 4 crackers and a tiny bit of cheese, lots of celery, one yoghurt. Homemade chickpea curry for tea with loads of vege in and a side salad.

I haven't weighed myself yet (not since October!) so I will do so later and report back if the result isn't tooooo embarassing.

Keep up the good work everybody!

PuppyDogTails · 08/04/2008 17:45

Breakfast - cereal and skimmed milk
Lunch - soup with some extra roast chicken in
Dinner - will be soup again with some cheese on toast or perhaps an omelette.
Snacks - some grapes, a slice of melon, packet of snack-a-jacks (small one!) and a little bit of DS's pasta that he didn't eat. Only a spoonful. Honest.
Feeling rather virtuous < polishes halo >
I need to do some exercise though, I did about half an hour of weeding while DS was asleep, I should go on the exercise bike for a bit.

PuppyDogTails · 08/04/2008 17:47

Nursery settling went very well, he barely looked in my direction the whole time we were there - too many new toys and babies to play with.

hairtwiddler · 08/04/2008 19:23

A pretty good day here. Been at work and avoided the chocolates, biscuits and cakes all day. A client pushed a small sweet on me, and it was one of those situations when it would have been rude to refuse!
Toast and marmite for breakfast, smoked salmon on rye for lunch. Snacked on oatcakes with hoummus, fruit and nuts, banana and apple. Dinner was spag bol from the freezer with wholemeal pasta.
Entering the snack zone. DD crying though, so I wonder whether I may have other distractions this evening. Hope she's not poorly.
