Kettle chips

janeite · 10/04/2008 21:58

I ate a penguin . I have failed, faaaaaaiiiiiiiiiillllllllled. I will count it as my treat and try to be better tomorrow.

thritbies · 11/04/2008 00:11

Good lord, forgot all about this Afraid will have to start again, just ate some easter egg (can you see a pattern here)

Went to WW yesterday- had stayed same weight, fair enough given my choc consumption. Thrilled last week as after a month of not going and eating all the easter eggs in the UNIVERSE I had lost half a pound!

btw left friend a voicemail saying "I'll talk to you tomorrow as I'm off to McDonalds now...er I mean Weightwatchers!" Freudian slip or what?!

trulymadlydeeply · 11/04/2008 06:48

Hurray, treat day / weekend is here !

Did a sneaky weigh-in this morning and have lost .6kg, so I feel a bit more motivated today.

Would never have got through the week without all of you being the voices in my head - so thank you, one and all!

Good luck today - we can do it!

jennster · 11/04/2008 08:33

Is getting the sh*ts cheating? No dinner last night and at this rate no breakfast or lunch today. I feel dreadful.

me23 · 11/04/2008 08:45

Hi everyone I'm still on track have had a few wobbles, eg eating muffin! or sneaky bit of choc. But I weighed myself on wedsneday and I weighed 10st 13, so lost 3 lbs since saturday hope I can keep it up.

not sure what I'm going to eat today? might do beans on toast for lunch.

midnightexpress · 11/04/2008 09:34

Wow me23, that's impressive! Well done you .

Must buy myself some scales...

Hope you feel better soon jennster.

notnowbernard · 11/04/2008 10:43

Well done, everyone! The willpower seems to be going strong atm...

Sorry those of you who are surrounded by illness. D+V is truly shite (pardon the pun)

Had a good day yesterday:
cornflakes for breakfast
no snacks in the morning
jacket potato with cheese and beans and salad for lunch
a plum and an apple for pm snack
pitta bread with tuna mayo for tea and a bowl of grapes
a bottle of beer

weetabix and a slice of toast so far today

am going to a friend's for lunch though and cake is always a factor. I will have to be very strong!

will take my trusty Yogi tea with me, I think!

Enjoy your treat day, those who are participating!

MegBusset · 11/04/2008 12:21

Hi all, hope everyone is looking forward to their treat

Last night was good, had grilled salmon with croquettes and veg, fat-free yoghurt, no wine

Today so far: fruit & fibre, fruit tea, skinny capp, satsuma. I am craving sweet stuff less, and a bit less hungry than I have been the past few days. Lunch will be a roasted veg wrap.

ingles2 · 11/04/2008 15:09

feeling a bit fed up today,...have hardly eaten anything all week, no wine or choc has passed my lips and that's saying something...but today I feel flabbier than ever! How can that be?????..
so far I've eaten
cereal
banana
yoghurt
a slice of malt loaf
and an apple....

ingles2 · 11/04/2008 15:21

see I'm fed up,...have just eaten an iced cupcake ds made ..

trulymadlydeeply · 11/04/2008 15:51

Don't worry, Ingles. I don't doubt that we'll all fall off the wagon at some point - I'm already planning a weekend of treats, not just an evening.

THe thing is to forget it, put it down to 1 bad day, climb back on the wagon and start again.

Good luck

liahgen · 11/04/2008 19:05

1 bad day

I just don't seem to have been able to stick with it at all. Just find it really hard when kids are home in hols, usually don't have biccies etc in house.

I have not been good all week, and still weigh same today,

I am gonna forget all about this week, and get back on track on Monday.
Please nag me, post your weight losses here.

hairtwiddler · 11/04/2008 19:23

Been at work today and was quite busy so less time to snack. I moved into a quiet room away from the biscuits too.
No slips yet this week, so am quite proud of myself. Am saving my treat for Sunday when we go out for sunday lunch.
No weigh in here (no scales), and clothes feel just the same!

mybestfriendiscalledstig · 11/04/2008 19:28

hello all
good day here - and courgette & watercress soup ready for supper which seems inordinately virtuous for a friday night.
It's weird how quickly your tastebuds change - I had rice crispies this morning (porridge the last few days) & it tasted so sweet - it was actually slightly unpleasant.
Even weirder, I'm actually not craving chocolate at all - just looked at some chocolate fingers & decided to indulge in wine instead...

mybestfriendiscalledstig · 11/04/2008 19:31

liaghen - sorry you've had a bad day - it IS harder with kids snacks around. As TMD says - just climb back on the wago & keep going

notnowbernard · 11/04/2008 19:48

Oh Liahgen, don't worry... a new week next week!

Well, I survived lunch at my friend's house. She likes the old cake indulgence, so I did well to resist (was hard though... choc chip muffins)

Just had some salted cashews

Am having sausage and mash with roasted veg for dinner (not that healthy, but feel today has been not-so-bad on the snack side of things!)

jennster · 11/04/2008 20:02

that's sick not envy by the way

1 banana, 3 carrot sticks and 4 ginger biscuits in 24 hours and 5lbs weight loss. Because I'm breastfeeding full time I feel dreadful. Ds had it too for 24 hours so was off food completely.

QuintessentialShadows · 11/04/2008 20:51

I had a so so day. I decided yesterday was my treat day. Had wholemeal sandwich for breakfast. Spaghetti bolognese for dinner and a wholemeal sandwich with pickled herring for supper. Starving now, shall go hunt down a yoghurt. Had one small marzipan chicken again. (easter sweets here are marizpan chicken and eggs)

ingles2 · 11/04/2008 21:08

So I've really blown it now....had a glass of wine with dinner and am now on the hunt for chocolate. Oh well,...try again on Sunday...

midnightexpress · 11/04/2008 21:26

ROFL at hairtwiddler: 'I moved into a quiet room away from the biscuits'. I imagine the biscuits singing alluring songs to you

Meanwhile, chez midnight, DP arrived home with an ENORMOUS box of chocolates for my birthday.

What's a girl to do?

I've eaten a few. But less than 10. I think.

Tickle · 11/04/2008 21:34

Happy birthday midnight

midnightexpress · 11/04/2008 21:37

Thanks tickle. Trouble is, the birthday isn't till tomorrow...

MegBusset · 12/04/2008 14:02

Enjoy your birthday Midnight. Bday chocs don't count

Last night: aubergine bake, veg, glass of wine.
Today: Shreddies, fruit tea, skinny capp, satsuma, cheese bagel, fat-free yoghurt. Curry for tea tonight, but it's home-made so not that unhealthy.

PuppyDogTails · 12/04/2008 18:47

I have had such an incredibly bad few days. Been to a family funeral and the food at the wake was sandwiches, sausage rolls and cake. I stayed overnight and the concensus was that we would eat left overs for tea, which was.....cake, cake and more cake. Fruit cake, ginger cake, bakewell tart, scone, victoria sponge, that was it!

I never want to see another cake again.
