For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh, dd2 and I were in the garden this morning and she commented on the fact that one of the onion tops had been broken/nibbled...
dd2: perhaps it was a worm which got up and took a bite
me: I don't think worms can reach that high
dd2: oh. Perhaps it was a stock cube

eternalstudent · 03/04/2008 13:18

Eh? What what what? What's going on? I've been bored all day and now something has gone on and I'm missing it.

stuffitllama · 03/04/2008 13:20

hi eternal

not good

eternalstudent · 03/04/2008 13:21

Just seen it, horrendous.

eternalstudent · 03/04/2008 13:22

What on earth would posess someone to do that?

FrannyandZooey · 03/04/2008 16:54

my stomach has never been toned in my life and after birth it will be like a loevly big wobbly JELLY

I have made 10 / 10 playdough. There is black playdough scented with coffee, which is for Bee and 100 and Avi and all the naughty coffee ladies, pink sparkly playdough scented with strawberries which is for Pink and anyone else feeling sparkly, and daffodil yellow scented with lemons for all the rest of us. I couldn't get cunting mango flavour.

It is all neatly rolled into balls and packed into 23 party bags, 3 colours in each. I feel almost holy looking at them.

I never, ever did that ..and am grateful mine are now no longer that age so I can't possibly feel guilty about it any more (or can I?) it sounds completely amazing -- they will LOVE it

carrots x 3 or 4 portions
banana
broccoli
more strawberries
am knocking on the door of eight

this has to make one lose weight no? not that I'm trying to but there's no room for anything else
out to drink wine, see you later x

Hello

Um, nothing to report. No food. Too much coffee. Um, ran around the playground and trotted alongside DS on his trike, so tiny but of exercise

at the MF thread

Hope everyone is ok

FrayedKnot · 03/04/2008 19:46

I started reading today's posts at 5.15pm

Now I cna;t remember anything anyone has said.

LL if you are about, I spoke to a friend at work today who HEd's his children, and they belong to a HE group in Kent, and in passing he said there was quite an established group in your area...may be able to get details / contacts if you are interested?

I have been v. good again and so far have not succumbed to the second creme egg.

The reason for this is that just before Eatser I freecycled some stuff and the person who came to collect brouhgt us a large Creme Egg Easter Egg, which I had put away in the spare room and forgotten about until yesterday...no-one else knows it is there

I have gymned as well

Now I have no clean kit so just been doing some handwashing

I have lots of ideas on my washing machine thread, now could someone give me some ideas as to how to pay for the ruddy thing please? They seem to have gone up an awful lot in the last 4 years

eternalstudent · 03/04/2008 20:03

Edamame beans, broad beans, green beans, sugar snap peas

mango, raspberries, mango, kiwi, blueberries, pineapple,

chickpeas, spinach, potato, cauliflower, toms, onion, carrots.

Some small though. But at least 10.

Feeling quite disgruntled. Not sure why.

Fullmoonfiend · 03/04/2008 20:11

I'm disgruntled...
we should be at our boat by now tiucking into a takeway curry...

But the feckin car broke down aboutan hour into the journey. 1 chiilly wait by motorway and we got towed back home again

We can go tomorrow in the van but we have to come home on sunday as snow is forecast and the van can't cope with snow.

I am worried sick the car repair bill will be huge. Actually, whatever it costs we cn't afford it

Bollockybollock toss!
This year is jinxed....
