For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hi

Zippi, I didn't know that about not paying for our meal.

Sorry about DD/DGS

Have just discovered someone has just scraped the side of my car, and joy of joys I have dentist tomorrow. At least the sun is shining, I suppose.

ladywombling · 27/03/2008 15:55

Food for today: Breakfast bar with choc chips, hula hoops, cheese, avocado, chips, apple, satsuma, banana so basically crap. I am really not doing well with this at the moment.

zippitippitoes · 27/03/2008 15:57

you dont have to pay for anything if its not right

except my kids who wipe their feet on me as a matter of course

zippitippitoes · 27/03/2008 16:04

sounds nice wombling

ive just realised i am feeling really depressed

eternalstudent · 27/03/2008 16:33

That's no good Zip. Do you have access to a large chocolate and wine shop?

ladywombling · 27/03/2008 16:38

Zip that sounds bad, however good that you are recognising the signs.

Is there anything I/we can do? I do have form so if you need me just shout.

Well done with the builder stuff, yay you.

Fullmoonfiend · 27/03/2008 16:43

ditto Zips.....

Happy Birthday Dear BBBeee
xx

zippitippitoes · 27/03/2008 16:48

sorry to hear that fmv

i am trying not to have wine until i go away

Fullmoonfiend · 27/03/2008 16:52

hear what? That I have 'form' for being depressed? I have never been 'diagnosed' and never had ADs, but I am terribly cycular (?is that even a word??) and I know I suffer from SAD type-depression. A sunny day can banish the black dog hanging round for weeks...
St John's wort and VitB6 are in constant evidence round Fullmoonmansions

I was a very angsty teenager and it never really totally went. I am extremely 'good' at self-management.

BBBee · 27/03/2008 16:56

Thank you FMV

Thank you all

You all add a lovely added extra to my life where freindly loveliness can come jumping out of my computer screen.

How lovely you all are.
