For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hello, Zippi, Avi and MsFranny.

Who is going on their holidays?

lionheart · 26/03/2008 19:53

There is gloom about, for sure.

Where is the sunshine and blossom?

Poor Wombling J.

Are you talking arachnoids again, Franny?

UnderRated · 26/03/2008 20:30

Exhuasted DS fell asleep in the car so mum stayed with him while I came in to 'sort things out' I don't think she meant I should come in, make a cup of tea, and waste time on MN.

Boco, your driving instructor sounds very lovely.

Enjoy having dgs tomorrow, zippi. DS loves butterfly places but I don't - they give me the creeps.

Glad your ds is a little better, wombling. Sounds very scary.

Happy birthday BBBee.

Must go and do my 'sorting things out' Am meant to be making portobello mushroom sandwiches for supper but I don't really know what to do with them.

F&V poor. Chocolate intake, shocking. (probably explains my feeling crap)

UnderRated · 26/03/2008 20:31

Avi, what is PSB?

lullabyloo · 26/03/2008 20:32

ds in bed
dh fed
painting finished

ds has an ear infection in both ears & tonsilitis & is as deaf as a post.

Avi....I dont know really
we have batted emails around & it's all a bit sad really
It seems ex has made reference to the fact that he was a fool not to have children with me & has regrets. This makes me very sad & it was this that was the real deal breaker in our relationship.
She says it is uncomfortable to be with us now & that he behaves very diferently around me.Also she finds it hard to see him with ds as she feels he is imagining how his child with me might have been.
I have told her I will not be going ..but have ignored his calls
All this ended fourteen years ago...

Mango.blackberries,raspberries,apple,orange
lentil soup & salad
roasted vegetables & brown rice

Wombling...I am so sorry you have had such a frightening time..I'm so glad ds seems to be on the mend. What a lovely Mummy you are
Happy Birthday for tomorrow Bee
What is ds up to Franny?

lullabyloo · 26/03/2008 20:33

easternalstudent · 26/03/2008 21:04

FrayedKnot · 26/03/2008 21:11

Ah

I am fed up with the same old fruit so today I bought a water melon, some strawbs and some kiwis and have made fruit salad for tomorrow.

Glad Wombling's ds is on the mend.

Hello to everybody.

Ds2's feverish thingy has been sharp but short - I could almost send him to school tomorrow but will probably keep him home. Much to ds1's disgust.

I have eaten pizza with tomato, pepper, sweetcorn, mushroom. Also apple. Not on the pizza.

TooTicky · 26/03/2008 22:24

Hello Avi

IdrisTheDragon · 26/03/2008 23:03

Hello

DH had really horrible migraine. He went to bed and asked me to call the out of hours doctor. A nice doctor came to our house and gave him an injection. It seems to be helping.

Have eaten pasta cheese for supper. And am watching recorded Apprentice.

zippitippitoes · 26/03/2008 23:07

i am sorry everyone is so ill

i feel a bit lucky as the only illnesses etc i get are self inflicted

oh apart from the mental stuff i guess
tho that probably is too

well no word from dd2 re dgs for tomorrow have i got myself all excited and confused for nothing i wonder

UnderRated · 27/03/2008 01:06

Oh Lullabyloo, from what you had said I assumed this was relatviely recent - Last 5 yrs or sp, perhaps. Not 14 years, how strange. I'm sorry it is all so messy

Mushroom sandwich was indeed Mmmmmmmmmmm

Cantaloupe, pineapple (x2), spinach, mushroom, tomatoes (x2), banana, strawberries and perhaps some juice later. So probably 10, yippee. Have been a bit slack recently so have made a big lentil chilli for tomorrow's dinner in an attempt to redeem myself.

Hope all illnesses and injuries feel better in the morning. I have a potentially horrendous day but think it may be postponed so will be only a little traumatic rather than completely devastating

zippitippitoes · 27/03/2008 01:07

i wondered how you were ur

UnderRated · 27/03/2008 01:13

Am ok zippi, just not on computer much because it seems a bit rude while mum is here. Hope you are ok - you can email if you like.

UnderRated · 27/03/2008 01:13

You're up late, zippi - are you ok?

zippitippitoes · 27/03/2008 01:14
