For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

They have to pull tiny little ploughs and milk tiny little cows and stuff. Very cruel.

FrannyandZooey · 26/03/2008 18:41

I think I went to one once
I have a vague and happy memory

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 26/03/2008 18:42

at the circus we went to they had budgies pulling a cart
it is obviously very exploitative but I am sorry it was sort of FAB

zippitippitoes · 26/03/2008 18:42

My children are eating yoghurts. Well one has eaten yoghurts. The other has so far eaten yoghurt.

I found my oyster card. In a bin bag. Obviously when I was tidying my bag I felt it was a good place to put it .

Now everyone here (except the cat) is going to have a bath.

ladywombling · 26/03/2008 18:44

Hello all,

Sorry to hear that you are not feeling tip top Franny, hope things improve with DS soon.

What is he doing that is pissing you off? I know just how it eels, DD is punishing me for being away from her with DS at the moment!

BBBee, London sounds lovely, happy birthday for tomorrow.

We are now back home, DS has breathing issues but NOT Pneumonia thsnk goodness, and a bad D&V virus, but is much improved.

He just went downhill overnight, and was floppy, unresponsive and very sad looking in the morning, all he wanted was to be cuddled and sleep on my shoulder. Then he started to get blue hands feet and lips, so we went to the GP and she sent us straight to hospital.

He had dirolyte through a nasal tube, and some pain relief, x rays and tests for pneumonia and then was under obs overnight, but he started to bf again, once he'd pulled the nasal tube out, lol.

Then he BF approx every hour through the night, and was much more like is usual happy self this morning. He is still tired and cuddly, but will play for short periods on his own, and is much hasppier.

It was DP and my 13th wedding anniversary too yesterday, so I had the day off to do nothing with DP, which went to pot unfortuantely.

Hope everyone else is well, have only quickly scanned thread. Must dash to bathe DC's

will try and catch up later.

ahundredtimes · 26/03/2008 18:45

Happy birthday for tomorrow BBee. I am getting that in now, incase I forget tomorrow.

If you wear bright clothing to a butterfly farm they come and land on you. DCs thought this lovely, dh ran screaming from the greenhouse, knocking over a plant and shouting profanities at nice lady behind desk. I had to explain to her that he didn't like spiders

I have eaten apples and lots of oranges today. Oranges are nice aren't they? I forget about them sometimes.

IdrisTheDragon · 26/03/2008 18:46

I misread zippi's post and thought it was a swimming butterfly farm and wondered how the butterflies could swim .

ahundredtimes · 26/03/2008 18:46

Oh Wombling! That is good news isn't it. I'm pleased he is better and on the mend. But very tiring for you.

FrannyandZooey · 26/03/2008 18:48

wombling oh I am glad to hear he is on the mend. I am sorry it was so grim.

I don't have the heart to moan about my bloody poor ds after reading that. Well not straight away anyway

i have had a further stuffing of pre chopped nuts

i am actually supposed to be designing my own six pack to take to lithuiania with me...this is proving a challenge

Boco · 26/03/2008 18:48

moondog · 26/03/2008 18:49
