For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

pinkspottywellies · 30/03/2008 22:24

Argh! Haven't got time to catch up with thread but have read some!

Franny, didn't mean to ignore stuff about dp's binge (sorry if you're way past this already!) but I didn't realise that he had a drink problem as well. Must be hard. Hope you're both ok.

TooT are you really 5ft 1/2 an inch? I thought you were taller!

Avi, hope the musical beds sorts itself out! DD slept in this morning!! Woke up a bit at 10 past 6 but I didn't go in and she went back to sleep and woke up at 10 past 8 - or 9 cause the clocks changed. Was delighted because I was knackered!

Wombling sorry to hear about your dad. It never rains but it pours and all that

I had a lovely day today We mowed the lawn, cleaned the pond and the outdoor furniture, got some washing done, and planted parsnips, radishes, lettuce and spring onion. I ate dried apricots, raisins, apple juice, melon, mango, seeds, radishes, huge plate of roasted veg and helf a pear Back on track!

Hope everyone's well. I support the extra points for nuts and seeds campaign by the way!

TooTicky · 30/03/2008 22:33

Don't suppose you have a humane trap?

Boco · 30/03/2008 22:34

[ignores armpits]

Toot I'm not sure where exactly you are. We stayed with dps parents in Portishead, then friends in Bristol, then saw friends in Cheltenham. We went to Bristol museum, which was good. Dp had nostalgia. Went to a city farm in Bristol which was a bit depressing.

I had real crying chocolate - Cheltenham friend hid a box of booja booja chocolate in my bag - we got lost on the motorway, missed a junction and nearly went to Oxford - and it added about an hour, and then I discovered this chocolate and it was AMAZING. DD has CROUP AGAIN and coughed and cried for 5 hours in the car. So glad to be home.

zippitippitoes · 30/03/2008 22:34

yeo you could catch it in trap and then sling it out the window

pinkspottywellies · 30/03/2008 22:35

Oh my goodness Lully do you live in top floor flat? I kind of imagined you in a cottage with roses round the door!

TooT what squashy things ?

lullabyloo · 30/03/2008 22:35

Good job ds didn't see,it would be a pet & in bed with him by now

TooTicky · 30/03/2008 22:37

Zippi

We went to the museum a couple of weeks ago. Did you notice that the statue on the stairs had a really dirty bottom?
Windmill Hill or St Werburghs?
We're in Wilts, but coming from over there, you'd have to pass vaguely by...vaguely...
