For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

lullabyloo · 29/03/2008 11:41

stuffitllama · 29/03/2008 11:45

tmi sorry

stuffitllama · 29/03/2008 11:46

I went on holiday with one child and now they are all at mil's while I came back to "bottom" the house (is that an expression you use?)

Am just about to bulk cook bolognaise sauce and fish pie, and I bought a lot of vegetables that I have to create something out of. I think it will be carrot and basil soup

zippitippitoes · 29/03/2008 11:52

bottom the house lol no

i very much doubt it is something i do either

stuffitllama · 29/03/2008 11:53

stuffitllama · 29/03/2008 11:55

Vegetables is what you need

stuffitllama · 29/03/2008 11:58

lullabyloo · 29/03/2008 11:58

stuffitllama · 29/03/2008 12:00

unless you count the different sub-topics, such as anchorages, moorings and tackle

stuffitllama · 29/03/2008 12:01

where's the veg talk when you need it eh
i'm on my countdown stuff it

stuffitllama · 29/03/2008 12:02

lullabyloo · 29/03/2008 12:03

yes I've done the sailing thing
ex p had a yacht....but he also ate vegetables
so I guess I was ok
he also managed to make me eat avocados

previously detested because my mother used to serve them mashed with cream & sugar for pudding

pinkspottywellies · 29/03/2008 12:22

I've been to the market and filled the pram basket with fruit and veg I feel hopeful and good

I have also bought trainers for running. Proper ones from the running shop. I had to run up and down the high street

pinkspottywellies · 29/03/2008 12:26

Avacado for pudding sounds vile Lully!

I have beetroot and radishes. Can I do anything with the leaves? Going to roast the beetroot and eat the radishes with crusty bread and butter
