For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I don't know where anybody is. I never know what's happening. Even in my own life.

ladywombling · 28/03/2008 22:35

I never knew almond milking could be so dangerous girls. Well well well, you learn something new everyday.

TooTicky · 28/03/2008 22:37

You should try finding their udders...

pinkspottywellies · 28/03/2008 23:07

Franny thanks for the sensible talk about chocolate yesterday. I started before breakfast yesterday as it was just there in the fridge when I got the milk out for breakfast and I ate it all day. I felt a bit shite by last night and nearly went for the Easter egg first thing this morning but the voice of Franny said no and I've had a much better day!

Still not lighting any fires in f&v but I had a banana today. (Among very few other things!) Still no exercise but I'm planning to run tomorrow. Haven't been since last Tuesday, then my throat was bad.

Haven't read thread but hope everyone's perked up a bit since the other night.

UnderRated · 28/03/2008 23:37

Oh Franny, how lovely to know someone else feels like I do. I am being very mindful of the fact that I am on a short fuse and annoyed by everything. I feel very bad about it and am constantly reminding myself not to act on it. Is there a nice way to ask someone to "please stop sniffing all the bloody time?" I thought about offering a tissue but have done that in the past and seemed to cause offense. And it seems a little passive aggressive, I think.

I have the same problem with long jeans & short legs. I hate going out when it is wet because I know my jeans will be soaked for the rest of the day.

What's goimg on with your ex, zippi?

F&V v poor again. Raisins & strawberries & tomatoey sauce. Might make 6 today.

All this talk of depression made me feel sad. Yet I am about to demolish a bottle of wine.

Feeling pissed off and annoyed and very anxious and [get a grip]

wahoo I reckon Avi and Mr Avi were in the mood for lurve last night
how did it go Avi? (ds in the bed, or the lurve, whichever you prefer to tell us about)

Morning everyone - UR I hope things might be better today. Anxiety and irritation is so horrid - the sniffing would drive me INSANE also. 6 is not v poor for f+v! Everyone is being very hard on themselves this week.

Zippi I can understand about the 4 day togetherness thing. Can you give yourself a chance to go off for the day on at least one day? I think the Larmertree festival would be fine on your own - did you look at End of The Road, also? I had a great time there and would have been happy to be on my own the whole time - was very friendly - maybe a bit too friendly as had small mid life crisis and almost ran off with handsome viking man
well when I say almost, I mean not really no way at all
but I wondered about it

anyway I obviously chose to stay with my delightful dp instead of whom some news:
he went to work do yesterday afternoon got pissed and rang on the way home saying "no I'm NOT pissed" then disappeared for 3 hours
I was in complete state
he turned out to have fallen asleep at station and drunkenly lost his phone
hoorah no harm done
silly arse though
he feels hang dog this morning

no idea what is up with ex dd2 is very upset asbout him drinking all the time...she us annoyed with me because i was obviuosly expressing anxiety about him trying to speak to me...i think he has feelings for me tbh

glad frannys dp is back even if in the doghouse

underrated is it yiour mum who is sniffing...im sorry you are having a really crsp time

why do they call almond milk and rice milk and stuff milk and not juice

what is milk

TooTicky · 29/03/2008 10:29

Actually I don't think they cvan officially call any iof them milk now. They are soya/rice/almond-based drinks, or milk replacements.

TooTicky · 29/03/2008 10:31

What time do fun fairs open? Dcs want to go to one today, although if ds1 keeps making ds2 scream we bloody well won't be going.

lullabyloo · 29/03/2008 10:38

hello

Toot..there is a vegan fayre in Bristol on 31st May
www,bristolveganfayre.co.uk

have been looking at lots of alternative camping holidays

www.cornishtipiholidays.co.uk
www.keycamp.co.uk

ds has been a problem at nursery
aggressive & pushy
Teacher says he is a very angry little boy & becoming unpopular
I have talked to ds & he says he loves nursery...but only the teachers & activities & garden....the other children annoy him
I dont know what to do

I have a stinking cold & sore throat & ds has an ear infection in both ears.
i feel like scooping him up & running off in search of sunshine & smiles.

lullabyloo · 29/03/2008 10:40

lullabyloo · 29/03/2008 10:42

the tree houses in the key camp link are the ones ds & I are dreaming about

TooTicky · 29/03/2008 10:46

Oh yes, the vegan fayre. We went a couple of years ago - lots of interesting things but oh so crowded. I have fond memories of the enormous plate of Lebanese food I bought there...

Cornish tipi hols are expensive, aren't they? Haven't heared of Keycamp, will have a look.

Poor ds - dd1 used to have very little tolerance for other children but always got on stunningly well with teachers.

TooTicky · 29/03/2008 10:49

Can't find the tree houses.

I do wish we had money for lovely holidays - nothing lavish, just fun and places and experiences

lullabyloo · 29/03/2008 10:51

under accomodation Toot

TooTicky · 29/03/2008 10:56

OH WOW oh god, must find a way of earening MONEY! I fear thatr by the time I canb manage to take dcs on exciting holidays they will be bored with me

eternalstudent · 29/03/2008 11:19

Morning!

Was sunny in Briz for about 20 mins so went and planted 5 rows of onions so feel quite virtuous.

The vegan fair and the Soil Assoc organic one in Sept used to be fun but are now SO busy we don't bother but loiter in the pubs nearby until most people have gone and all the stall holders are drunk on organic cider (or cidrel as we call it round these parts)and things are cheaper!

Have had grapes, banana and smoothie.

lullabyloo · 29/03/2008 11:22

oh it's such a shame when things become too popular

Toot....you couldn't be boring in a million years

It is tipping down & I feel like crap
