For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

It's an homage to Ashes to Ashes - the last episode of which I am watching right now

zippitippitoes · 27/03/2008 21:36

i am missing my might have been i am talking rubbish

zippitippitoes · 27/03/2008 21:49

im sorry i am ruining your stufff

TooTicky · 27/03/2008 22:02

Zippi, have a cyber hug. Wish things were better but you are lovely and you mustn't think you aren't.

Bee, WHY did you link to that chocolate sale? I am positively drooling over the Fruit and Nut Dark Egg Sandwich thing. But it would be silly with p&p so I shall be strong. But it has pistachios and blackcurrants and a flamboyant natural purple doodle and it's vegan
Did you mention clothes? Can't refind it now. Isn't it annoying when that happens?

I have eaten industrial quantities of cabbage, psb, carrots and squash. Why do none of my dcs like squash?

TigerBollyKnickers · 27/03/2008 22:03

you OK zippi?

zippitippitoes · 27/03/2008 23:00

i think i have had a rahter odd day

BBBee · 27/03/2008 23:08

oh zippi

you have had a horrid day and I am sad for you. I think it is awful that you spent time thinking about today and nothing happened. I am cross and sad.

This is not fair.

Lots of love

BBBBEe

zippitippitoes · 27/03/2008 23:13

thank you

its my fault they are my kids

if we are all dysfunctional i cant blame anyone else and im not exactly a great example of how to behave

BBBee · 27/03/2008 23:15

well my parents aren't either and I am sure I am not for my children but push comes to shove they can be nice and appreciative - I try to be with my mum.

It is not all your fault.

I was lookinga t the photo of the meet today. You have lovely hair - what shampoo? I wish my hair was nicer.

zippitippitoes · 27/03/2008 23:16

except i cant go downstairs in case i bump into dd1 or her bf

S1ur · 27/03/2008 23:18

evening,

Sorry you've had a crap day zippi. Glad wombling minor is feeling better

running, oranges, tomatoes (loads of), sweet pots, spinach, apple and erm wine grapes? (very old fermented grapes)

UnderRated · 28/03/2008 00:22

Mrs C's holiday sounds lovely.

We had an interesting mango today. And strawberries, melon, pineapple, lentil chilli w/ quinoa (which mum didn't eat) and some juice. V bad again. Will do better next week.

Being alone by choice is lovely. but awful when forced upon you

I know where to get Almond milk but since I am 4000 miles away, I'm not much help, FK. Is it nice? Does it taste almond?

What is this PSB that you all mention?

Sorry you had such a bad day zippi. Hope tomorrow is better.

zippitippitoes · 28/03/2008 00:26

self inflicted bad day

i could have avoided it

i was just self indulgent

UnderRated · 28/03/2008 00:50

Zippi, I think you are very hard on yourself.

zippitippitoes · 28/03/2008 00:52

not really i could have done things differently

i wish i had now

i knew exactly what was going to happen

UnderRated · 28/03/2008 01:05

We all have regrets, zippi. Can you just have a better day tomorrow and forget about today?

UnderRated · 28/03/2008 01:07

Sorry, that sounded really patronising

zippitippitoes · 28/03/2008 01:08

i will i am feeling a lot better now strangely

but i think that is because i am having fluctuating mood i'm not sure

zippitippitoes · 28/03/2008 01:08

no it didnt

UnderRated · 28/03/2008 01:19

I'ma bit up and down atm too, although mine tends to go in cycles of days rather than hours.

I do hope you feel much much better tomorrow.

Why am I so bloody irritable? It's ridiculous - to the point where I am pissing myself off for being so intolerant of everybody else. Goodness knows, I'm far from perfect. In fact, I should be the very last person to judge.

zippitippitoes · 28/03/2008 01:21

well i can be judgemental and irritable of people too

yeah i think my mood is cycling round in hours which is making me feel odd

UnderRated · 28/03/2008 01:23

It must be exhausting, zippi.

As is noticing every single sniff, mouth noise, scratch etc that someone else does. WTF is wrong with me? And wtf am I writing about it on here?

I have no self control and am about to flip.

FrannyandZooey · 28/03/2008 07:56

UR being irritated is horrible, I hate it. It is my WORST trait and one I have very little control over. I do try to deal with it sometimes by saying to myself "I am irritated" and NOTICING what I am feeling and making a conscious effort to physically slough it off. I feel it a lot in my shoulders and neck so I try to relax there. And I say "I am FEELING irritated but I don't have to ACT on it."

that is probably load of shit but anyway [sheepish smile]

Zippi what a shite day. I think you are taking all your annoyance with them and turning it on yourself. It is ok to feel pissed off with your adult children and you are NOT responsible every time they behave badly. If we could all control our children's behaviour so easily life would be a lot simpler wouldn't it

right am exhausted now from being bossy and whatnot

have had small portions of all following: strawberries, blackberries (ds chose as a treat), raspberries, banana, raisins, grapes

zippitippitoes · 28/03/2008 08:02

well thank you for your kind thoughts

i have an upset stomach i amthinking maybe i was coming down with it yesterday too which may not have helped

would have thought it was drinking wine but my friend has come down with it too a few hours before me and as we are in different parts of the country could be a virus maybe?
