Anyone want to join me in a very easy peasy diet?

Im on hols in June so that is my incentive. Beginning of December I went of a cut down diet. All I did, was after my main meal at night, I ate.... NOTHING. No picking... chocolate, biscuits, popcorn (dont we love our popcorn on MN? , crisps....nothing. Oh and no pudding!

I lost nearly 1/2 stone just by not picking.

I ate what I liked during the day, biscuit, chocolate... what ever I liked, but just stopped at night.

I have to say, I did go to bed a little bit hungry, but felt so gooooooood the next day, especially as by the end of the first week my stomach had gone down considerably, and by the second week my clothes felt looser.

Who wants to join me? anyone?

Morning Thomcat - people write out their emails addys in that format for security reasons. I learnt the hard way, when I wrote my email out in full. One day I did a search for my name on the internet (both first and last name are unusual) - and it bought me right back here to Mumsnet giving out my email to all in sundry!

so, by writing it this way...

sandra at blueyonder dot com

provides hidden security.

DrNortherner - if you dont want to pay and sign up for the CAT service (£5 a year I believe), then you too could leave your email in the above format.

Not only have I not picked after my cheese & mushroom omlette but I didn't pick this afternoon either, a bloody miracle! Could the wolfgirl diet actually be working for me?!!!!

Off to get my email, how exciting!!!

vannah · 07/04/2008 22:12

hi wolfgirl
I havent time to go through all posts and Im so sorry Ive not yet given my email address but am just dropping you a line to say that Ive been doing this 'easy peasy diet' of yours since you first posted a few weeks ago and it really actually works.

I am slowly getting slimmer and feel much better for not spending an entire evening going in and out of the kitchen wondering what else I could snack on

so a big thankyou to you again

futurity · 08/04/2008 07:54

well i weighed in today and stayed the same which is better than I thought I would be after weighing myself earlier in the week and it was looking like I would put on.

Kids back at school today so I can start running again...went out last night and will be running again this morning so hopefully can kick start this weight loss a bit more.

Wolfgirl · 08/04/2008 12:16

I must hang my head in shame.
It would turn out that my crappy old scales are very inaccurate and I weigh much more than I thought. I will post new weight tomorrow when I have weighed in the morning.

Wolfgirl · 08/04/2008 21:02

awwwrrr Peachygirl. Go get new ones, eh! Lets get you moving m'dear, and make you feel better.

And go do some chair dips LOL, that will make your arms look luvveryly jubbly!

Hello everyone!

Hope you are all resisting the nibbling urges. I will need extra help this and next week as DH is away with work (and he has been my conscience every time I approach the fridge).

I too have switched to green and herbal tea, duomonstermum in an effort to stop the biscuit dumping. Have also taken up knitting (!) hats for Save the Children to stop the hands looking for nibbly bits whilst watching tv. Just got to master typing and knitting at the same time and I'll be able to come on MN without the biccies/m&ms/revels! LOL

Here's to lots of lost lbs this week for everyone!

duomonstermum · 08/04/2008 21:50

i'd say next weigh in will be good for me. due to stinking head cold can't taste anything..... and beleive me no matter how nice it looks there's no pleasure in eating something you can't taste, even choccy!!! i tend to have more of a savoury tooth so sweet chilli snack-a-jacks are fab! i would do my cross stitching but someoneDH has lost my glasses and it's a pain doing it without them.

really must find them, having bother seeing the screen, prob cos i've been on the computer all day typing assignment MNin...

peachygirl · 09/04/2008 13:19

The new scales say I am 9 stone 3lbs . I was out last night so am starting all over again with new enthusiasm. I will be away next week for the weigh in.

FruitfulOfFruit · 09/04/2008 20:21

In spite of not losing any weight this week, I tried on a pair of pre-pg jeans and they fit! . They didn't fit last week. What's that about then?

Back to school this week so lots of exercise - pushing 2 kids to school and back 3 times a day should help.

Wolfgirl · 09/04/2008 20:52

JustJaamy - sending cyber help vibes, STOP Picking, stop picking, stop picking.......

duomonstermum - I think you and me have the same cold bug. I never ever lose my sense of smell/taste but this cold has jolly well done it" Ive had Vick stuffed up my nose, and dabbed Karvol on cotton wooll and placed by my pillow. couldnt smell a thang! I dont feel fluey, thank goodness, but its just there... in my head making me really cranky. and all i want is some chocolate boooo hooooo...

peachygirl Keep going darlin'. I think its slow going for most of us, but at least it wont all go back on quickly either!! Well done for keeping going, good on ya Sheila

fruitfulOfFruit - yes, I know what you mean, my jeans around the hips are so much more comfy, even a bit baggy, waist still not down yet, but Im sure Ive shifted it all over, even if only by cm's. Maybe our shape is changing with the diet and weight staying the same for a while.

and then.... in the coming weeks.. WHOOSH, it will disappear over night, and we will wake up, weigh ourselves and be like.... 10lb lighter LOL

Dont forget also, that we will probabluy only feel good, or feel like we are losing weight about 3 out of 5 weeks. We have to consider 2 weeks for our periods, bloating, weakness and a bit extra picking. So it is those 3 weeks we have to be really strict and work hard.

OK, got washing to hang out, and I got my SIL in arriving any min with her kiddies, staying for a week.

Gonna be busy, so please excuse me if Im not on here too often, but I will be thinking of you all

duomonstermum · 09/04/2008 21:46

wolfgirl, to all the tactics. is it working? i have given up on trying to smell anything. of course this is when people ask me to sniff and tell them if i think something is off

went hunting for my glasses and somehow ended up painting my bedroom i blame all the drugs!!! what was i thinking!! now i'll have to go and finish it cos i started to paint half of a wall.... i could have gotten away with it if it wasn't for sudafed.....

Wolfgirl · 10/04/2008 11:42

Duo - Im just knocking the sudafed down me, now. cant take them before bed becaue act as a stimulant for me, and last time I was up with the piggin owls, terwhit-terwhooo!!!

OP posts:
suedonim · 12/04/2008 14:05

The internet is on, at last!! But I'm regsitering no change, still 10st 2lb.

Wolfgirl · 12/04/2008 18:43

HOkey doke. dont despair, KEEP going.

Chair dips!! how are you all getting on??

OP posts:
duomonstermum · 12/04/2008 21:22

what chair dips?? i've been painting my bedroom. does that count??? see what mad decisions you end up making when you're on sudafed??? to DH who aggreed to my mad scheme. did he not see i was a woman in the grip of a paracetamol high???? going up and down a ladder does wonders for the bum..... at least i hope so or i'll have given myself sore bum cheeks for nothing!!

Wolfgirl · 12/04/2008 21:34

Oh Duo. Tut tut!!! There's me, been rattling on about Chair dips all week and in yer latest email. So you been cheating eh! Right my girl, you have to double dips now.... painting indeed! LOL

Hows your cold btw? mine is just lingering, but on the off now thank goodness. No where near as bad as the beginning of the week.

OK, chair dips. sit yourself on a sturdy chair, hands beside hips, thrust yourself forward, feet firmly flat on the floor, then lower your body down off the chair, then up , then down, up, down, etc. Do 3-5 two times a day, 3 times a week.

i should have been a pharma-exerciseist.

OK, best go, family traumas going on behind me, 9 yr old nephew having severe nose bleeds, must go and help.

night night.
