For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oops, pressed post before I was ready!

I agree 100, it is a neat bump, I was round from the neck down when preggers, so am deeply jealous also.

pinkspottywellies · 19/03/2008 21:35

I just tried to go out and get strepsils in a strop cause DH wasn't giving me any sympathy for my sore throat (really sore, nearly crying ) but the strop didn't work cause I had to wait for him to move his car and I didn't feel so stroppy after 5 mins while he finished his game

Then the shop and the garage were out of Strepsils so I got a packet of Jaffa Cakes

Anyone know anything about Malaysian food? It's the Sepang Grand Prix on Sunday so I need to cook something. I've found a chicken curry recipe on MN but any inspiration from the veggers would be appreciated.

FrannyandZooey · 19/03/2008 21:44

ah thank you for nice comments
I think I needed bolstering as found this morning that 2 out of 3 of the maternity tops I bought in London (LARGE size no less) now do not fit

the thing is, I have actually put on a heap of weight, but while I am pg it does not show as it is all on my stomach. So I get this lovely protrusion and look quite slim UNTIL the baby is born when it is plain to see I have a spare tyre of loose flesh hanging around my middle

ho hum

PSW gargling sage tea is really superb for sore throats. Don't listen to this lot or they will have you sticking onions up your bottom or something, just gargle sage tea.

OP posts:
pinkspottywellies · 19/03/2008 21:47

I haven't got any sage

FrannyandZooey · 19/03/2008 21:48

oh dear
you have to get some in the morning
have you got soluble paracetamol? that is very good if you gargle it also

Boco, poor love are you still all stiff? I am a complete prima donna when I fall. Stoic in labour but in pieces if I stub my toe.

Pinky I know absolutely nothing, nada zlich aboiut Malaysian food, Sorry!

I have had, veggy soup, and ratatouille (was too lazy to do it yesterday) and a banana. Pretty good day in all.

pinkspottywellies · 19/03/2008 22:06

I don't do ill so our ledicine cabinet is pitifully un-stocked. Had some paracetamol but haven't got ibuprofen, which I think would help.

When I saw the photo Frannieandzoe it made me want to come down there and give you a huuuuuuge hug!! (Sorry if you don't do hugs and that's made you squirm!)

pinkspottywellies · 19/03/2008 22:06

TooTicky · 19/03/2008 22:48

Franny, that is a very pert bump. All mine dangled somewhere near my knees.

Pink - local honey mashed with slice of organic lemen, add hot (not boiling) water and drink hot.

UR, I want to know about black bean brownies, I really do. I had some "ice cream" once that was made from aduki beans, dates and carob powder. It was divine.

Today, have had:
Tomato
Watercress
Apple
Cauliflower
Apple
Carrot

TooTicky · 19/03/2008 22:49

lemon

UnderRated · 19/03/2008 23:06

The advantage of no daytime nap is early bedtime. So, after a stressful afternoon, DS was tucked up in bed at 5:45. And I feel the need for lots of wine and a cigarette.

Lovely bump. Very neat. And you look so well groomed and respectable. I am feeling grubby and unkempt.

lol @ sanitary product envy.

Will look for black bean brownie recipe, Toots

UnderRated · 19/03/2008 23:33

Link to black bean brownies Let me know if you try it, Toots. I'm intrigued but not enough to make it myself. I need a guinea-pig. It's not vegan though and I don't know how much you can substitute without it ending up not brownie-like.

Bean icecream sounds interesting.

UnderRated · 20/03/2008 01:17

And lots of bean cakes here

FrannyandZooey · 20/03/2008 07:48

plumber woke me up from a deep sleep at 7 am he is being exceedingly awkward and perverse in his communication

i was unusually in a deep sleep and was also thanks to start of period absolutely fucking soaked in sweat

so had difficulty remembering what day it was

so he is coming later to commission the heating and charge me more than he said

of course he doesnt know what time

i actually forgot that i am going away today

i have fingers crossed he will finish and that will be wrapped up

easternalstudent · 20/03/2008 08:59

Pink - Nazi Goreng is Malaysian.

It's a kind of rice thing which you wrap in a very thin omelete type affair.

IdrisTheDragon · 20/03/2008 09:28

Morning. I was woken from a deep sleep at 6:56am, but by DS feeling that bouncing on me was a good start to the day. I did not quite agree.

easternalstudent · 20/03/2008 09:41
