For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Ooh good about the HE Avi! I was talking to a friend about it the other day. It's really not my thing but I was trying to explain to her why one doesn't need to follow a syllabus.

No 7 hours stiff. It said 4-5 in the book but it was longer by the time we were ready for dinner. In the slow cooker - did you see that bit?

pinkspottywellies · 10/03/2008 21:10

What's frustling?

stiffit · 10/03/2008 21:10

i could put it in the oven on low for four ?

FrannyandZooey · 10/03/2008 21:52

TooTicky · 10/03/2008 21:53

Hello you all seem to have talked a lot. What's happening?

FrannyandZooey · 10/03/2008 21:54

FrannyandZooey · 10/03/2008 21:54

FrannyandZooey · 10/03/2008 21:55

twice?

TooTicky · 10/03/2008 21:55

Twicefold, so I see.

OP posts:
TooTicky · 10/03/2008 21:56

I'm not sure it's healthy if the same ones happen twice

urgh. That calcium calculator isn't a Petit Filous ad is it? Do they also have a sugar calculator?

UnderRated · 10/03/2008 22:00

Ugh, I have that advert too and it's really irritating. Odd though - I usually have different ads to people in the UK

FrayedKnot · 10/03/2008 22:01

Yoplait, pink

Not sure if that's any better

TooTicky · 10/03/2008 22:01

Ick. Bet they don't mention sesame seeds and chick peas.

TooTicky · 10/03/2008 22:02

Sauerkraut was here earlier, wasn't she? I always seem to miss her when she does pop in. SK, are you lurking?

It's a real shame you can;t get those little fromage frais rolls (can;t think how to describe them, they come in paper) here, like you get in France, which don;t have anything in them at all except fromage frais

FrannyandZooey · 10/03/2008 22:06

they do mention sesame seeds
I checked
it is not surprisingly, slightly biased in favour of dairy products

TooTicky · 10/03/2008 22:09

It amazes me how much dairy some people eat

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 10/03/2008 22:10

oh dear
I went berserk yesterday
it must have been the subliminal yoplait effect

FrannyandZooey · 10/03/2008 22:10

[dairy free today]

I bought a record player in an Oxfam shop on Saturday and have been listening to records I haven't heard for years. It is unspeakably wonderful. Except for the fact that two records seem to have scratches - both in my favourite songs

That's interesting Avi. I adore tahini - it is one of my staples.
