For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh really? Really? Does he have any thoughts of make up to wear for B&W photo so you don't look like you actually wearing any make up because you are a Serious Person? Please?

ahundredtimes · 09/03/2008 21:42

[smears lipstick over chin]

HELP

Boco · 09/03/2008 21:43

100 that b&w picture you showed us was lovely and you didn't have any make up on or anything. You look very attractive with nice bone structure and you need to just relax and know that a good photographer will show you as you are which is lovely. Can you tell us what it's for?

lullabyloo · 09/03/2008 21:44

We have had quite a fun w/e
yesterdayone of ds's favourite authors was reading & signing books in town...& there was colouring & balloons & cake & he got to cuddle up next to her while she read.
He was very pleased indeed to meat the real lady who wrote the stories.
She was very lovely, gentle & softly spoken

Went out for breakfast this morning & then for a walk/bike ride along the lanes...ds ended up in the muddy ditch at one point...but we'll gloss over that

then made our easter tree,a friend who closed her lovely shop down recently gave us heaps of lovely wooden eggs & bits...so we have daffodills, blossom,& eggs galore here.

lullabyloo · 09/03/2008 21:47

Dh is being most unhelpful
'I'm a photographer,not a make up artist'

BBBee · 09/03/2008 21:47

do you like sue limb? she wrote a really funny thing about having a photo taken for a book - she is wonderful.

I am tired and i need to sleep soon.

boco what shall i do with 'happiness' back to you or elsewhere? ( I do keep watching the football bit)

ahundredtimes · 09/03/2008 21:47

That sounds lovely Lully.

Boco it's for youknowwhat. It is. Oh god. I am not lovely. That was a strategically small photograph.

I am old and puffy. Photographer asked what sort of look I wanted. I said 'about 31, attractive, clever, funny yet sensitive and capable of great thoughts' and there was a snorting sort of noise down the phone. Then she said 'I am a great believer in natural light' and I said 'I am a great believer in over-exposure and air-brushing'

Hmmm

lullabyloo · 09/03/2008 21:48

for the book,yes?

lullabyloo · 09/03/2008 21:48

Natural light is good

lullabyloo · 09/03/2008 21:50

He says he would have to see you to be able to give advice

BBBee · 09/03/2008 21:50

i thought i would make a stew because of the storm (I am not celebrating the storm but it reminded me of stew)

how the fuck do you make stew so it is nice - you must know. I have some much loved before slaughter beef and mushrooms and potatoes and carrot - so what do I do?

Boco · 09/03/2008 21:52

Maybe I could draw a picture instead then? Not really, I just don't believe you 100, you'll look fantastic. Have you plucked eyebrows? You just need a good light foundation and powder for a nice smooth look, with some highlighter on brows and a creamy lipstick not too dark but shade lighter than your natural colour.

Bee, tell me what you thought of the film,, did you love it? I really want you to have loved it

ahundredtimes · 09/03/2008 21:53

Oh god what a good idea to make a stew for a storm. I wish I was rather than rushing about the house only stopping to strike poses like the Voguing Madonna video.

I don't know what else to put in. Hang on, I imagine you were asking Lully weren't you? lol. [waits]

TooTicky · 09/03/2008 21:53

My stew, which is fab, has no beef. It has onions, swede, otato, carrot and lentils. Will tell you how if helful.

TooTicky · 09/03/2008 21:54

I really am a scruffbag. C'est la vie.

ahundredtimes · 09/03/2008 21:54

Boco drew me the most marvellous picture of me and Johnny Jet taking purposeful strides in the park. It was just perfect and heavenly, and I had a turny uppy nose and sensible hair and thin legs. I'm giving them that.

BBBee · 09/03/2008 21:54

oh boco i did love it - me a franny talked about it. I was only going to watch the first ten minutes before going to bed one night and stayed up and wathced it all and I cried and at the end I was happy but my heart hurt.

I loved the football and the man who unscrewed the plumbing and I cried when the boy went and he was drunk.

(NOT SPOLIERS BTW)

BBBee · 09/03/2008 21:56

oh do toot - i do have a swede - i am a bit scared of it though - i don't get on well with large root vegetables.

TooTicky · 09/03/2008 21:56

100x, just be natural. eole who ut on bucketfuls of make-u just end u looking sort of lasticky.

Boco · 09/03/2008 21:57

I make stew with butternut squash in, and beef, and carrots, mushrooms, courgette, pepper - just anything really. Fry it all briefly together, veg then meat then add both, put in casserole dish with beef stock and seasoning, then 20 minutes before the end take it out and add herby dumplings, or cheesy dumplings if feeling lardy - and a little bit of cornflour mixed with cold water to thicken if needed.

ahundredtimes · 09/03/2008 21:59

TooT - I want to look lasticky. I don't think natural is a possibility. I need help to look natural and good. Actually, I will shut up about this now. Sorry

Stews. Oooh and dumplings, herb dumplings, I have a nice recipe for those somewhere. Delia has a beef one with mustard in - or Nigella - do you want me to look it up?

Boco · 09/03/2008 21:59

Oh GOOD Bee! It does make your heart hurt - the end is so lovely - I loved it when the lady next door made friends with them all and joined in.

TooTicky · 09/03/2008 22:03

Okay, cho onion and fry gently in sunflower/olive oil while you dice swede. Add sage if you've got it and garlic if you fancy it. Add diced swede, dice carrot and add. ut in red lentils, if you're using them, then dice and add otato. Hoefully you will have been stirring this regularly.
Add some boiling water (not stock or salt at this stage or lentils may not soften), stir and cover. Let it simmer for a bit, until the lentils start to soften. Crumble in a veg stock cube and add some more boiling water.
Then I make dumlings - rub 3oz margarine into 6oz SR flour, add dried herbs if you like. Mix to non-sticky dough with cold water and shae into little balls, dro them in. Cook for a bit, turn them over, cook for a bit more. Yum.
I also add delights such as celeriac, turnip, celery, courgette etc when I have them.

TooTicky · 09/03/2008 22:05

The letter between o and q is on strike btw, I am not seaking in code.

BBBee · 09/03/2008 22:08

oh tell me which recipe book as i have most of them i just love it if some one else says it is good.

Oh yes I will do dumplings - herby lovely ones and I will grill it at the end so they go crusty and we shall enjoy it in jumpers.

boco - do you have more films like this?
