For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

oh helLO
would you email me about anything you and the boys DON'T like to eat please?
I have your schedule for the week here, shall I fax it to you or would you like it as a lovely surprise?

oh don't get me started on mother's ay. I had to buy him a nice card for his mother and ended up ordering her flowers from tesco to be delivered because despite constant reminders, he had forgotton. As his mother has just had one hell of a year with the cancer, if ever there was a time to 'do' Moter's day, this is it!!!

Naturally, I hold out little hope of anything nice for me from the boys. DS1 has been getting quite hysterical with panic as he wants to make me a surprise cake - slightly given away by his constant probings of '' do we have flour mama? And eggs? What about butter? Which tin is best to use?'' etc etc.
And DH keeps saying ''OFGS, not now'' It won't happen

I kidnapped my friends children and helped them make a card for her as she is single mum who will get nothing otherwise

Oh I'm not allowed to take a friend to the exhibition thing in London. Shame as would be more fun with a friend, but maybe it'll force me to talk to publishers and be brave. They just sent me an email saying that it'll be a good chance for 'networking' and I thought 'maybe I won't go'. And it said you name badge will read 'Boco. Illustrator and Exhibitor', and I got excited again.

I have a really bad headache today. Am supposed to be making teas and coffees at a toddler group but feel a bit queasy. DD is so bored she's writhing on the floor shouting 'can we goooooo nooooow!'

Greensleeves · 29/02/2008 12:05

no, we eat anything

ds1 might or might not be fussy, but it's more of a 'lets irritate Mummy' thing than a 'I consistently always dislike this foodstuff', he likes to rotate the fads to keep us on our toes

I think you had better email me with your 'plans' for the visit [flinch]

MrsCarrot · 29/02/2008 12:11

wow, Franny, I know you said you like to organise places to go and things in advance but you haven't seriously got an itinery have you?

Greensleeves · 29/02/2008 12:23

Mrs Carrot, you have no idea, the woman is unbelievable

FrannyandZooey · 29/02/2008 16:50

Ha ha ha HAH
and what would be WRONG with having an intinerary for the week? it is only a few days until she comes?

well tbh it is really the food and meals thing - I am busier next week than I should be and I am going to need to shop quite soon to make sure there is actually food in the house. So I did actually lie in bed last night and sort out which days we would eat here and which days we would eat out and which day I will say "Greeny please take your delightful family and go somewhere else for the day while I go to work and then have a very long nap"

I am working 2 part days, and you are only here for 2 days and 2 part days, and we can't all fit in the car, so I don't think we are going to be doing lots of Things together. But we can do nice pootling around together in between me having long naps. Hoorah!

FrayedKnot · 29/02/2008 18:14

Hello

Seem to be really busy atm, so only popping in briefly

My sister & boyfriend have moved out of their house and are now officially homeless and appear to have moved in today

Actually they are not staying long and they are good amusement for DS and babysitters so DH & I are off out to the cinema. Not going to see Juno though, DH wouldn;t

Am out again tomorrow and then away for a couple of days from Sunday, so will just pop in and wave now and again until mundanity returns.

Have a good weekend everyone

FrannyandZooey · 29/02/2008 18:17
