For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

FrannyandZooey · 26/02/2008 21:18

what a hypocrite, I tell the ruddy world about my personal problems on here and then balk at saying the town where I live

That spotty zebra insult was extraordinarily rude. It had been deleted when I saw it but someone had cut and pasted it word for word further down saying 'I can't believe you said that'. That part made me laugh but I tend to lauh when I ought not to.

TigerFeet · 26/02/2008 21:24

MN is a bit car crash atm isn't it?

Am getting sucked into lurking on threads when I really ought to know better

MrsCarrot · 26/02/2008 21:26

yes, very schizophrenic feel to it all. I think the troll got everyone questioning the cyber universe and everything.

My dinner sounds good on paper but it was surprisingly disappointing so I won't mention it. My baby will not go to sleep. Bah.

IdrisTheDragon · 26/02/2008 21:26

I seem to have missed all the awfulness on Mumsnet today. It is a day when I try hard to get the laptop from out of DS's hands lovingly care for my children and so have been busy elsewhere. Or something like that.

Both DS and DD are very into apples at the moment .

IdrisTheDragon · 26/02/2008 21:27

Hooray - my striking out worked .

IdrisTheDragon · 26/02/2008 21:28

In my way of remembering random details, most of DD's shoes have had buckles. I rather like buckles. Although DS having velcro does mean he can supposedly put them on himself (although muggins here is more likely to do it ).

IdrisTheDragon · 26/02/2008 21:29

I am avoiding going into the living room. There was a straw frenzy earlier on and I am too scared to go in. The fact I am sitting on a wooden chair when there are much comfier seats in there is making me wonder if I should just get on and tidy.

IdrisTheDragon · 26/02/2008 21:30

And now I am talking to myself

ahundredtimes · 26/02/2008 21:32

[sprays champagne over everyone, except for Franny who has Appeltizer]

A really amazing thing has happened.

A totally fucking wonderful thing.

We are celebrating my vegetable friends.

MrsCarrot · 26/02/2008 21:34

ahundredtimes · 26/02/2008 21:34

Oh MrsC

I wrote a book. I wrote a novel.

And someone has bought it.

Actually they have bought TWO books.

How about that?

ahundredtimes · 26/02/2008 21:35

I am drunk.

Am I going to regret this in the morning?

MrsCarrot · 26/02/2008 21:36

Yes! That is truly fantastic, clever 100x That's what you've been doing squirreling away.

Ha ha ha.

MrsCarrot · 26/02/2008 21:37

what do you mean, two, have you written two or is it an advance?

TigerFeet · 26/02/2008 21:38

Well after news like that I would hope you are utterly and completely trolleyed

And no you won't feel like crap tomorrow because you will still be all chuffed and glowy

Well done that woman

Tell us about the book

ahundredtimes · 26/02/2008 21:38

I have written one.

They want two.

[drinks from the bottle]

I am in a daze.

TigerFeet · 26/02/2008 21:39

opens another bottle of bubbles

hands round straws

GLUG

MrsCarrot · 26/02/2008 21:40

Good lord, what fantastic news, 100x, truly amazing. I am not surprised though, you have the air of an author about you.

Drink, drink and drink some more. I would open a bottle if I had one.
