Dedicated Swallower of Passion (Fruit) - 10 / 10 thread

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oooh look Lully is here. How are you Lully?

is MrsC now called MissCreant?

I will go read the thread sorry.

Hello Anorak.

fullmoonfiend · 03/02/2008 14:57

anorak, I have been thinking about you a lot as MIL has finished her chemo now (21st Dec) and is so much better and brighter.

is there anything which isn't making you sick?

MissCreant · 03/02/2008 15:00

tis me for now, 100

and Franny Does Not Like It

Hello anorak

ahundredtimes · 03/02/2008 15:09

I like it. Thought I'd like miscreant, just as much.

I should work out how to get my digital camera on to the computer shouldn't I? Dh gave me the camera for my birthday in December. I should have worked it out by now.

My god. Then we could have a new photo of Johnny Jet each week.

How are things MissCreant? That's quite a weird thing to write you know.

anorak · 03/02/2008 15:13

No I love the title because I'm not pure

Just had a crisp sandwich for breakfast. But a nice glass of orange and tangerine juice.

MissCreant · 03/02/2008 15:15

I did wonder whether to have miscreant but then I thought franny the fussy people could still call me MrsC

I am well but spending too much time on here, you have been doing very well I notice, barely a flit and a post.

ahundredtimes · 03/02/2008 15:19

Oh god I don't think I have been doing all that well have I? I intend to do better yet. [vague]

Anorak - do you know what will make you sick, or does it just happen when you're faced with it? We need Lully to come up with some perfect recipes for you don't we?

ahundredtimes · 03/02/2008 15:20

Boco and I made a cultish pact with blood about screen time, but we seem to have both ignored it. We need an Enforcer.

MissCreant · 03/02/2008 15:20

are you going for good?

is this posting withdrawal?

MissCreant · 03/02/2008 15:21

yes, I noticed that somewhere, fifteen minutes each a day or something?

ahundredtimes · 03/02/2008 15:22

Oh god no!

ahundredtimes · 03/02/2008 15:23

Yes 15 mins. Though fat lot of good that decision has been.

I'm not really fighting it. I'm just having an oddly drifting and aimless time at the minute, so I have to keep thinking up things to keep me busy, MN not being one of them.

Is very strange time.

ahundredtimes · 03/02/2008 15:24

MInd you, I did buy a puppy to fill up the time. But he keeps falling asleep and isn't allowed out, so fat lot of good he's been.

ahundredtimes · 03/02/2008 15:29

Now I'm talking to myself, you, you, you miscreant.

I promised DS1 we'd make brownies this afternoon, so we'd better go and do that. DS2 at a party and dd has been taken to the zoo for the day with her friend.

Mind you, our weekend of making things together hasn't gone all that well. This morning ds1, the voice of wry calm in this house, said to me 'Look, I do appreciate you helping me with the tudor house, but do you have to be so insulting?'
[blush}
LOL

ahundredtimes · 03/02/2008 15:32

And I said 'Yes, I do because you're being an utter arse and I think the beams need to go HERE and HERE and you haven't given a bloody thought to how we attach the roof, and I've been up all night making architectural plans'

And then we both burst out laughing.

Oh and my final post is this - we WON the school quiz last night. We did. And we were vocal and obnoxious in our celebration.

BBBee · 03/02/2008 15:33

oh no 100 have you gone?

you are never here and it is all 'where is 100' then you flit in and flit out again!

Tellme about brie and coffee and how DD feels about JJ - is she all aloof and cool about it?

anorak · 03/02/2008 15:35

ok, some examples.

bought a bottle of carrot juice which I normally love. Can't face it. But can drink the orange and tangerine.

A peanut butter sandwich tasted like cardboard but ryvita with butter and cheese was nice.

salad with italian dressing was so gorgeous I wanted to eat more and more of it.

can't face cereal and milk.

Can't eat cookies but can eat chocolate.

Can't eat my normal fruit and nuts but can eat banana.

Can't face wine!! or coke

BBBee · 03/02/2008 15:36

I am not doing our school quiz (is this friday - must be the season) we won last time but only answer I contributed was about bronte sisters. There was one bloke who had been on universtiy challenge so any answers he knew were written down instantly and then he and DP started some kind of macho who has the biggest penis knows the most showing off.

MissCreant · 03/02/2008 15:39

very impressed at school quix, I always run from those ladies selling the tickets. Quiz and chips, or something

BBBee · 03/02/2008 15:42

yes we have some of those hard sell ladies - when you say you don't want a ticket they do a face like you said you were in favour of public hanging and go "but why??"

I said "I can;t sorry I am going to see an Alan Ayckbourn play that night" and she said "Oh are you sure this is bound to be much more fun"

I could get it in writing and go along and then sue I guess.

MissCreant · 03/02/2008 15:45

the worst ones are those trying to fill the gaps for doing a stint on the cake stall, they trill ' the WHOLE thing will have to be cancelled if you don't help', but I run away.

I couldn't care less if it was cancelled, I hate the school fair. So shoot me.

ZippiBabes · 03/02/2008 15:45
