thinking of you shib, can imagine you are still worrying. Keep reminding yourself the docs wouldn't have said anything hopeful if they really didn't think it was.

How is your dd?

Sending hugs..etc.

mummylin2495 · 15/02/2008 21:12

is there any news yet about your daughter ?

nappyneeds · 15/02/2008 22:54

thinking of you Shib.... Ive been there when I was early twenties and know it was scary enough for me let alone a 14 year old. Mine turned out to be a papiloma (non-cancerous thing) but best that its out otherwise they'd have always been guessing and guessing is no good - you needed to know and have it out which you do now so you're half way there. Fingers crossed its nothing serious

Im expecting a phone call on Tuesday now,the appointment re results was supposed to be ten days, but when it arrived it was over two weeks ahead, apparently due to workload. So i rang the secretary who said the surgeon will rang after their "results"meeting on Tuesday.
In the middle of a flaming row over maintenance with her dad too,so not a happy bunny at the moment.

I've only just seen this thread (where have I been?) and just wanted to add my voice of support.

I've had lots of breast lumps since you daughters age. I just want to say how great it is that your daughter told you about it! I had one removed at 22(ish) and didn't tell my parents - who I was still living with - until the night before because I didn't want to worry them (plus I wanted my Dad to bring me home from hospital ).

LilRedWG · 16/02/2008 11:33

I wish I had felt able to tell them and have their support! You are doing a great job!

Shiboriamplehips · 16/02/2008 18:36

Thanks,im pleased that my kids are so frank with me yes,i hope it means ive got THAT bit right at least.
I know she may get more lumps,as its what they think is a "complex"fibroadenema, they dont know if she will get a recurrence. But theres very little alteration,or distortion of the breast. They did a very tidy job.the lump was the size of a tangerine!
