just seen this shib, so sorry you're having this. I can barely imagine what you're going thru.

Can you not try to talk to someone at the breast care organisations? I know that nothing and no-one can take away your panic, until you hear those words - it's benign... but you need to look after yourself.

When is surgery? tomorrow?

Will be thinking of you...hugs hugs hugs.

taffy101 · 07/02/2008 22:15

(((hugs))) to you, i can't imagine what you are going through.
Good luck tomorrow

sherby · 07/02/2008 22:16

Good luck for tomorrow

AdamAnt · 07/02/2008 22:18

Oh God poor you and your DD. Sending lots of positive vibes for tomorrow.

AitchTwoOh · 07/02/2008 22:22

oh shiboria, how awful this is. good luck for tomorrow, will be thinking of you.

nightcat · 07/02/2008 22:25

Shib.., get yourself Bach Rescue Remedy drops, you really need to keep a clear head to take everything in, is your dd holding up OK? Also, homeopathic ignatia is good for stress caused by emotional upset and it lets you keep a clear head. That's what I would be doing, maybe this helps you..

Whatever it turns out to be, you need all the knowledge you can get.

Oenophile · 07/02/2008 22:38

You poor, poor love. Thinking of you. Really hopeful it's benign, it must be way more likely than the alternative, I hope with all my heart it is.

cory · 08/02/2008 00:01

only just seen this thread, will be praying for you tomorrow

mummylin2495 · 08/02/2008 10:29

thinking of you both today, hope it all goes well

pigsinmud · 08/02/2008 10:40

Thinking of you both today. Hope it goes well and you get the all clear quickly.

Shiboriamplehips · 08/02/2008 17:19

The surgeons THINK its benign from how it looks, surgery went quickly and smoothly, they were fantastic, and i didnt cry til she was asleep pre-op.
The tumour is encapsulated,ie not penetrating the breast tissue itself,so consequently doesnt look malignant.Shes upstairs with my laptop on MSN now...They THINK its a "complex"fibroadenema, which is why it looked ominous on the scan.We still have to wait for the results of the biopsy however. Thanks everybody,im numb still now,and exhausted.xx

I have been wondering how things were going for you all. I hope it is all okay.

Winetimeisfinetime · 08/02/2008 17:30

Oh that sounds really good Shib - the best possible outcome. ime the surgeons often have a good idea of whether things they remove are benign or not and I would take the fact that they are telling you they think it is benign as extremely hopeful. So glad it's done.

noddyholder · 08/02/2008 17:38

that sounds great tbh I had an encapsul;ated tumour removed in 2000 and have had no futrher problems

That sounds great news, Shiboriamplehips, and best wishes for the final results.

mummylin2495 · 08/02/2008 20:22

well that certainly sounds a lot more improved outlook,i hope with what they have told you maybe you will finally be able to have a good nights sleep.Im glad today is over for your dd sake and hope she will sleep well too.

anorak · 08/02/2008 20:29

When will you get the pathology results?

Wishing you and DD all the best x.

Frizbe · 08/02/2008 20:50

sounds like good news, fingers x'd for the final results for you all.

dolally · 08/02/2008 22:06

thanks for update shibo, am sure that you have mind on other things. As someone else says the surgeon wouldn't say what they've said if they don't really believe it. Take care and lots of love.

Shiboriamplehips · 09/02/2008 15:19

Thanks,biopsy in 9 days,waiting for letter from clinic now,will keep you posted,xx

Shib, I've been watching this thread and so relieved that the news is sounding better for you and your daughter. Let's hope the biopsy proves the docs right....in the meantime hope you can both get some sleep and enjoy this sunshine.

Shiboriamplehips · 12/02/2008 18:36
