For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

It was something like Dancing Bean, sweet and nice and only an evergreen ??

I don't know, something like that. I can't be arsed to look.

"dancing greens, feel the beet from my clementines"

I am always crap at this - I sometimes come a close second. The only one I ever did was the withnail and I one and I was watching the film at the time.

Let's just cut to the chase and say

"January needs stodge and podge and the veg box is full of boring roots and apples."

Dancing green, young and sweet and only a tangerine.

fullmoonfiend · 21/01/2008 19:08

but tangerines sounds closer to tambourines....

ahundredtimes · 21/01/2008 19:09

Let's have BBees. I don't like all this close second talk. I vote for BBees.

fullmoonfiend · 21/01/2008 19:12

yes! Then we can do something amusing with tangerines another time...

BBBeee, come on down!

FrannyandZooey · 21/01/2008 19:13

I think i'm a radiator to dd2 because she's constantly happy and delighted and a drain quite often to dd1 but not sure why. My mother is both on different days.

FrannyandZooey · 21/01/2008 19:16

yes?
no?

OP posts:
Boco · 21/01/2008 19:17

I was pondering that while all about me clementines and tangerines raged.

Bee it's a top title.

FrannyandZooey · 21/01/2008 19:17

my mother gave me some money
is it bad not to like someone who gives you money?
is it bad to take money from someone you don't like?
is this why she does it, to make me feel more screwed up than before?

OP posts:
onebatmother · 21/01/2008 19:34

i vote dancing greens, feel (or peel) the beet of the tangerines

so

ahundredtimes · 21/01/2008 19:35

The answer to both of those is NO. But I think we have established already by total lack of scruples.

Blood oranges are bloody nice aren't they?

onebatmother · 21/01/2008 19:37

at least I now feel I have something to aim for.
I know all the ways I am shitmummy, but I often don't have a clear idea of what it is, exactly, I do want to be.

So it all becomes an exercise in self-loathing and guilt.

But thanks to MrsC I now know I want to be and interesting woman, ladling from the mothership.

That does actually feel like a bit of a moment. Actually.

OverRated · 21/01/2008 19:44

Oh, mothers. Mine is 5000 miles away.

Had baked beans, green beans and broccoli with lunch. Will make a smoothie and have more veg this afternoon.

FrayedKnot · 21/01/2008 19:51

Yes to the title!

Boco · 21/01/2008 20:18

My succotash soup was a success and everyone ate it all up. [proud] It had butter beans in it, that's good isn't it.

Boco · 21/01/2008 20:19
