For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Good evening - you have probably all gone now haven't you!

I have been painting and I need to wind down before going to bed.

MrsC hope you enjoy the special day with your little Aquarian

OverRated · 21/01/2008 01:07

Oh Mrs C - hope you all have a lovely day.

I'm eating a prune brownie with blueberries.

ZippiBabes · 21/01/2008 03:03

my kids have the view that mu mu is mad and we can talk to he r abiut anything and she wont be shocked dad is mad but we cant talk to him about anuything cos he will be shocked hw will thin k we are like mum tho cos he is maed actually there is at least an equal risk of being like him

dadf never took took drugs so has no idea tho mum did and has lots of ideas mumhas the view that its not going to make you necesessarily be a gretaa person dad has the idea that its quite freaky tho doesnt kno cos he never tried anything but doent really like that sort of thing but as he quite like the idea of mum he has never totally dismissed the idea

mu kids are all non druggy types

in the sense of opportuntuinity but not really that interested...

i have generally said to them that they are not a great idea in the long run

a bit like random sex is not a great idea in th elong run

but there are pros and cons

we admit

FrannyandZooey · 21/01/2008 08:23

"she probably just wants to share with you how Amazing she thinks drugs are, and how Brilliant and what a great weekend she had with some mates and how you musn't tell her father about it."

oh fk I hope she doesn't

" have generally said to them that they are not a great idea in the long run

a bit like random sex is not a great idea in th elong run

but there are pros and cons"

yes that is more or less my line I think

Bee I think we should have a cost chat about it rather than discuss it like this don't you think?

Title. A TITLE. As usual we have no consensus at all, I have my parents coming and wash my hands of all responsibility, anyone who feels intrepid please start a new thread, my vote is for the kale curls, but I will be happy with anything as long as someone leaves a link on here

oh and sorry you don't feel you can do the meet up TooT, does anyone else have time? I was really hoping to have one pre-baby as I am not going to be so sble to do things in the summer

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 21/01/2008 09:12

Lets have the kale one then, 100 has been waiting for it for ages but I can't do it as I never get the link right.

I am tired, F woke up LOADS, think he has a tooth.

I am going to ignore the mess and go out.

You lucky thing, Avi, sounds like you've travelled all over. Perhaps Avi island is one of those!

FrannyandZooey · 21/01/2008 09:30

who knows

will tell you in about - ooh - 5 or 6 hours

am not exactly relishing the idea with joy

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 21/01/2008 09:35

and Franny, sorry if I sounded stiff last night. I was trying to put across another possibilty and got stuck in my own stiffness. I'm sure it will all be fine. What with the sleep issue as well I have come across as less than liberal. Really though, I am, quite, I'm Just Very Tired.

Hope it goes ok today with your mother.

fullmoonfiend · 21/01/2008 09:36

Franny, good luck with the parents >

ahundredtimes · 21/01/2008 09:37

I'd vote for Sicily over Corsica in the spring to be honest. More to see - lots of archaelogical sites, but then I like ruins and old temples and things, and craggy beaches and I like Sicily very much indeed. Corsica is a summer spot. [biased emoticon]

ahundredtimes · 21/01/2008 09:40

And better towns in Sicily too, and better food.

ahundredtimes · 21/01/2008 09:45

Though Corsica is pretty too actually. And has good coves. They are both nice. Avi is island expert.

Oh are you definitely going to go?

fullmoonfiend · 21/01/2008 10:12

hmmm, your holidays 100 are now limited to those scary campsites where they welcome dogs...!

FrannyandZooey · 21/01/2008 10:50

ooh here I am they have gone for a walk

MrsC I didn't think you were stiff or whatever or anything at all. It was useful to hear what you said and I am sorry you are so tired. Happy Birthday F!

OP posts:
Boco · 21/01/2008 10:53

Happy Birthday smallest carrot. Hope you have a lovely day.

Must do painting today as deadline is thursday and still have 6 pictures to do. If you see me then give me cold shoulders.

I'm still loving the dancing greens though.

FrannyandZooey · 21/01/2008 10:54

my mother has made some raisin cakes and I just ate one and it had a bit of egg shell in and I nearly choked on it

I am saying nothing but I am glowering a bit

mothers are often best kept at arm's length aren't they? Mine lives 200 miles away and thanks to that we have a great relationship

All these trials and tribulations . I have a non-sleeping 3.6yo - we are also following the Do Nothing school of parenting. She has a full sized single bed so I can sleep reasonably well at the end of it with her if she can't settle. Having her in with us just doesn't work - we are all noisy, active sleepers and none of us sleep if we share our bed.

I bought a blender at the weekend. I have been mainly eating soup and smoothies since. How on earth did I manage before? Fancy having to chew one's food [harrumph]

DH agreed yesterday that if we buy a house with a decent size garden then I can keep chickens.

ZippiBabes · 21/01/2008 11:10

i should be at college but i am instead trying to do an assignment which is mega tedious anyone can help if they like

looking for machine diagrams

i should actually be at college but i am sat half dressed in my bed trying to google

hopelessly uselessly

ahundredtimes · 21/01/2008 12:10

Johnny Jet is NOT a dud. I know you are all going to be pleased to hear this. He is absolutely fine, he just has rather droopy eyes apparently.

[ahem]

As you were. I will not talk about this anymore - well not much anyway.

And FMF I shall not. I shall have to find dog-friendly cottages in Wales though, and then a kind doting lady in slippers to have him if we go anywhere more exciting than Wales and Cornwall. [determined]

FrannyandZooey · 21/01/2008 12:15

we never doubted him for a second, 100

hello Tiger feet! Your Do Nothing plan sounds very good to me

sorry zippi, strange but true fact: I would actually rather talk to my parents than help you look for machine diagrams
